As suspected, this was another of Matt's BS threads/lies. Rylex had this figured out from the start. Trust me, the powers that be around here have SHORT MEMORIES, and Matt will get still ANOTHER CHANCE on this site. Maybe not this year, but next year or 2009. And I guaranty you, he will start right up where he left off. Matt does not need understanding or help, he needs to be left behind and ignored. Move on guys, he isn't worth your time or energy...he is just sucking all the positive energy out of this site and all of your efforts. He needs help, but it has to come from within. I've been around this type before...don't let him suck you in... D
now he is admitting it... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am actually shocked that Ryalex had this pegged so close on post 34. And I dont know how I feel. I feel like we got taken for a ride, but also it was an interesting discussion. Maybe someone that will actually follow through will start another thread like this. Hey, at least he owned a Ferrari. That puts him in a very elite club. Matt, if your out there, Forza. I wish you well.
1) Matt hasn't logged in since Dec 26 2) Sure, we all knew this wasn't going to happen. However, I can't find anything posted in this thread by Matt that's demonstrably false at the time it was posted. There's some very clever writing in there. 3) Some people in CA know this guy personally, maybe they can see if he's OK? We've all had sudden life changes that screw up previous plans. Just my thoughts.
posted 12/8 posted 1/15 Tillman this is pretty close to being a flat out, bold faced lie. Matt posted this about a month after the owner said he owned it for about a month. Don't give him the benefit of the doubt.
Trust me on this, Matt has been working on his explaination and apology for the past few weeks, probably even testing it out on a few sympathetic ears he still has on this board (yup, short memories they have!). He may need a few more weeks or even months, but he will be back. He needs time to sew up the alibi, and make sure it is believable. He's probably looking for a suitable "donor" dead body to pose as his dead uncle that he sold his Ferrari for, so he could help with funeral expenses or something... The scary part is everyone will give him some sh*t and it will all be forgotten and he will back to his old self again.
Tillman, you have a heart of gold....did you fall for that load of crap from our previous president who vacillated on the meaning of "is"????

Also, I said "hi" to Mr. Vaglietti A post from another thread. Kinda like "lying to the man" isn't it?
I just reviewed (albeit very quickly) this thread. What is posted above pretty much summarizes what I saw. I didn't see any postings from Matt that said anything that say it is on its way to, in or coming back from Italy. Was he BS'ing all of us the while time? Don't know. Matt may well have been. But there is nothing I saw that contradicts the basic story. He wanted to get it done and was trading e-mails to Ferrari regarding the project. I am not a "defender" of liars, but the objective posts don't seem to have a smoking gun. Of course, if I missed it, I am sure I will be corrected
Uh, please take a look at my post just above yours. In this thread located in the vintage section, Napolis askes Matt if this is a done deal and are you sending the car to Italy. Matts answer is Yes and Yes. Please see Vintage Section, Classiche program problems and views, post #49. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that Matt is stating that it is a done deal. I have never seen another post saying anything had changed.
1. Matt talks about the factory resto program 2. Matt confirms that he's in line for this program; stating that he is just 'waiting on a shipping address' before he sends the car out 3. Matt states that he 'won't sell the car' 4. At the same time of his post, Matt sells the car to another local guy 5. This person puts the car up on Ebay a month later Throughout this thread there were people stating that he A) was full of it and B) he was using this as a story to cover for the sale of his car. Both proved to be correct. Matt just never thought the guy he sold it to would make it resurface so quickly. People who are six-feet under rarely have any wiggle room. He's done.
