Anyone know the factory stereo wire guage in a 355?

I need to know the wire size to know if it is sufficient for my upgraded speakers/amp or if I need to replace it.

    Thanks,

    Teddy

Thank you very much. But anyone know what that is equal to in guage?

If the values that Malcolm listed are in units of mm^2 (wire area), and not mm (wire diameter), the corresponding (equal or slightly larger) AWG size is:

    1.0 mm^2 = 16 AWG
    2.5 mm^2 = 12 AWG

(Can you check/confirm the units Malcolm? IIRC, the numerical values listed on the wiring diagrams are in mm^2 of wire cross-sectional area -- i.e., a battery wire cable of "35" is not 35 mm in diameter -- or did you already do the conversion from wire area to wire diameter?)

Steve, yes it's the wire area
