For those who have done the factory tour recently or are scheduled to go one soon -
    did you pick the date?
    submit a range of dates?
    how flexible is Ferrari?
I'm planning a trip for May 2010, called FNA (about 3 weeks ago), and the gal mentioned that they did not really have the "guidelines" for 2009 hammered out yet! So no chance for planning for 2010 anytime soon.
I want to use frequent flyer miles to fly business, so I gotta plan WAY ahead of time, and I want to do it either just before or after the Monaco F1 race (hey, knock it all down with one trip!)
your thoughts and experiences are appreciated
    thanks!

we took the tour last year at the end of may. we submitted our date to ferrari north america. told them when we would be in bologna and florence [both close to maranello] the factory came back with a specific date - we had to rearrange our schedule slightly, but it worked out. we stayed in modena , but considering traffic, would definitely stay in maranello the night before. you will have a specific time given for the tour and they tell you to come early or you could miss the tour. it is given in several languages, so you want the one in your language , hence the specific time. in 1987 my wife and i were given a private tour , this time there was a busload ! dan

My situation was very similar to VROOOM. We booked several months in advance and had to actually wait for them to open up the schedule since it looked like they only booked about 6 months in advance. We had two dates requested and they gave us our first request so things fell into place nicely. Not too difficult at all.

Whatever you do be on time. If you miss your time you are out.
