    Hi my 308 Gtb dash is in good condition but faded, any suggestions to restore the black?

    Are you sure its not just dirty? Maybe try cleaning it with a good vinyl cleaner? 2cts.

    Having had the dash of my 308 exposed to very harsh Texas sun for many years without fading, I would be interested to know what actually caused this in the UK?

    As such, I would investigate cleaning first as suggested however knowing the root cause will make sure that it does not recur...

    I don't think I have ever seen a black dash vinyl fade. Black bumpers all the time.

    I have cleaned it and used a back to black treatment, it's looking a lot better. I think it was caused by a solvent originally

    Yes, solvents will mess up vinyl finishes for sure. Unfortunate someone would choose to use that on the dash ( shakes head )
