Fairly new to Ferrari but wanted to see if what I’m experiencing is normal or not. I’ve noticed that when I turn my steering wheel to make a turn or when getting out of a parking spot there is a faint clicking sound coming from the steering column.

Sounds almost like the sound you would hear in a combination lock or from turning the bezel of a rolex submariner. Is this normal? It doesn’t sound “broken” but I wouldn’t have expected to hear a mechanical noise from turning the wheel.

Are you sure steering column? Or actually from the steering wheel? Had this on my Aston (not Ferrari). It was the airbag in the steering wheel - something had come loose inside. Needed airbag replacement.

Hopefully this works but attaching a link to a video with the sound.

Car will be picked up this weekend to be looked at.

Yeah I figured. Sent the video to the dealer and they are picking up the car this weekend. Service advisor thought it could maybe be the clock spring behind the steering wheel but I have no faults and all buttons work on the wheel. Will update once they take a look this weekend.

did the car have steer-wheel out service recently? sounds like broken clock spring. or could be just 2 materials rubbing against each other. does everything work on the steering wheel? btw, sounds like bezel on rolex? lol. I personally have no idea what that sounds like. but that sounds like loose clock spring wire potentially! should be easy fix if it is that.

Yes everything works. Service advisor’s first guess was clock spring as well so we will see.
