Not sure if I'm imagining it, but the last time I drove the car it was in the dark, and I could have sworn I could see the airbag warning light flickering very faintly next to the light that tells you you've got your lights on.

Is this a thing, or have I imagined it? What could cause the airbag light to be sort of faintly flickering on and off?

Not supposed to be able to happen. Other lights can do that. The cars are getting older and anything can happen I guess but before spending any time on it confirm it really is the airbag light.

Update on this - drove the car today, and the airbag light is definitely flickering, but only when the car is moving. I've done a video (in a car park), I'll try and upload it shortly.

Whatever you do, don't unplug it
unless the power to the car is off

I wonder if the airbag fault system only latches a light on if a fault is there for longer than a few seconds?

Sounds like a tough problem to diagnose. If the system does behave like that, there may not be a fault latched in the ECU memory.

What was the longest period of light "on"? Is there any connection between light behaviour and you turning the steering wheel?

I thought that typically if there is an airbag fault (on most cars, not just Ferrari), it has to be manually turned off. It should definitely be scanned, but I would be inclined to believe this may be a fault with the cluster rather than the airbag itself.

The light is on all the time I'm moving, except its mostly on very dimly, and sometimes flickers more brightly. Video doesnt show it very well - I'd never noticed it before because you cant see it in the daylight and that's when I usually drive the car.

As soon as you stop, or go below like 1mph or something, it's off. Turning the wheel doesnt seem to affect it.

Baffling... You may have to see if there are any stored faults.

I'm not sure if the airbag ECU sends a voltage or a ground to illuminate the light. If a ground, then perhaps there is an intermittent short to ground on the wiring, but why it would be speed dependent, I don't know. There is no speed input into the Airbag ECU.

Have you disturbed any parts of the car recently?

Probably best left for the experts.

Its just been in for a couple of ball joints and a suspension bush, but I noticed the light before that.

I blew a fuse adjusting the seat a couple of months ago, I wonder if that has anything to do with it (?)
