10/10? nothing is perfect, it depends upon how critical an eye you have. Lets say a 10/10 for a 1999, Spyder, sport exhaust, low mile recent 30k service and solid service history.........

He means you should list the car as 9/10 (as in 90% perfect). But without the requested additional info I would venture a guess of $80k ish... But I haven't been looking actively so that is just a WAG.

I would probably target in the mid 80's. The contention points for the price on both sides would be (also mentioned by greyboxer)

-Last and most recent model year (Dealer would argue the car is behind the depreciation curve versus earlier model years)
-What is meant by low mileage?
    -What is the color combo?
-Body style (GTB - Highest production = less value; Spyder - 2nd highest production number with most listed for resale = lower value; GTS - Lowest production = and currently in demand)
-Options (Challenge Grill, Fiorano Ed, Aftermarket Exhaust, Cats and Headers)
-Has the 15k service been completed (this can represent a significant number in the price negotiation)
-Also any independent PPI w/Leakdown and Compression test will help you in understanding the car more and if there are underlying issues to work out.

Going by what you have provided, low mileage--under10k--- assuming red/tan car---$85k-$89K---that is the market right now

They are being purchased for low to mid 80's wholesale..If you can get for that price buy it. I was thinking high 80's to low 90's for a spider

Thanks, the asking prices are all over the map and its difficult to pin down the fair market value. Most of the 99's are in the 90-110k range on the ask, sales prices are tough to find. It would be interesting to have some sort of reporting poll to provide potential purchasers a real picture of whats been sold and for what price similar to the information one can find on a real estate purchase. Would help to keep everyone honest, (are there dishonest people out there???) It seems the low 90's would be market for a red/tan low mileage 355 with sport exhaust, clean exterior/interior and a current (within the year) 30k service with belts ect. Given the information provided along with the sales I can pin down this would seem to be the case. I am hoping to make a purchase in the near future and have several cars am considering. They range from a 1995 to the 1999 I asked about. I am leaning towards the more expensive but better condition of the 99. I plan to drive this car and the low miles will allow me to enjoy the car without driving the mileage beyond a reasonable number to allow for a decent return upon resale, that is if I part with the car. I had planned to sell one of my current cars but cannot seem to seperate myself from either of them. I still enjoy them both. While I understand the cost of maintenance cannot be pre-determined I would expect a newer vehicle to have fewer issues provided it has been cared for and driven in the past. Thanks again for the input.........

Why would someone trying to get the best price for their car make them dishonest?
I never see the point of discussing the price I paid for a car I want to sell. The car's worth what someone is willing to pay and what I think is an acceptable price.
    I paid 11 billionty for mine ;)

I was not implying that someone trying to get a fair price for their car was dishonest...........only that there are those out there. I agree with you, an item for sale is worth that which someone is willing to pay and the seller willing to accept. Sorry if I offended.........

    No offence at all.
As an owner I'd like all the posts to be about people talking up the price and not the ones about great deals and how prices are falling. Totally self serving I know, but I'll have the sell the thing one day!
