    $79000 for a '97 355 GTB 6 speed with 18K miles. Excellent condition, etc.,etc. Fair price? Sounds a little high to me.

    Seems in the ballpark. 97's seem to be in the 80 to 85K range. Someone else feel free to chime in if I'm wrong. :)

    That is a BARGAIN...!!! If it has all the service done including "timing belt", clutch, tires, and good condition inside & out. Outwise, it will run you another $10k to take care of the above items.

    -If the service is recent, that is a very fair ASKING price.. But asking price and paying price are 2 different animals. I would offer around $$72k for the car, which puts it right about what Islandboy said!! Just to give you an example---My 98 355F1 GTB with 2 day old major--factory red calipers, factory yellow stitching inside, 9k miles, no sticky panels, paint 10/10-- went for very close to that...
