Good morning all, We are hosting our fall get together next month, on Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Ferrari of Houston, Blacksmith Coffee and Tout Suite will be joining us once again, so please mark your calendars. As before, we enjoy the diversity of cars, so please feel welcome, whether or not you have a cavallino rampante on the hood. We look forward to another great event, please let me know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Ryan
Nothing running right now.... 308GTB distributors shipped out... Pininfarina Spider is at the Day Spa, next to an Alfa Montreal!! I could take one of the Ducatis I suppose...... This is a great show.
With or without me, my car will be there. Huh? I might be able to attend, but if I'm not there say hi to the black Modena having the dash restored and sticky parts un-stickied.
I wonder if the DR. will be there this year in his F40? Super nice guy and it would be nice to see him again.
BigTex, Definitely bring your Ducati, we have another gentleman bringing a MV Agusta Brutale 1090 RR, and it would be cool to have them in the mix. R Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, thanks! It's on my calendar now.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What time do you need to arrive to get a good spot? Assuming you accept beaters like mine Image Unavailable, Please Login
Allan, If and when you have a spare few minutes could you give me a call? Your pm box is full (mine is not) so I could not leave you a message or my contact information and this has nothing to do with the event. My apology yet I could not think of any other way to get in touch with you. Thanks, Gregg
I hope the 288 GTO I spotted at FoH a few years back makes an appearance.... http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c160/texasmr2/046-1.jpg
Tony and the Ferrari of Houston team are joining us, but I'm not sure what they are bringing. That would be great to have a 288, I have never seen one up close.
The 288 GTO I spotted was in for service. I introduced myself to the owner and asked for permission to take pictures.
Yes! Pictures to follow. What a NICE event! Many thanks for the invitation.. I have a meeting.....brb.....
I was a great event and the weather could not have been better. I had a slight issue when I left the event and took my eye's off the road for a split second, jumped the curb and popped both my right front and rear tires. Thanks to the SM employee who checked on me. Thankfully I have AAA and have "road hazard" on the tires so all is well that ends well and there was no ill effect to my alignment.
Damn Gregg, never a dull moment, eh? Glad all worked out and you didn't hit another car/pedestrian/cyclist, etc.
Thanks Scotty. That section of Westheimer is old and the lanes are narrow so there is no room for error. Totally my fault for looking away for even a split second so I paid the price and should have known better. I was barely doing 20mph but it was enough to ruin two brand new tires. Was a great event though with some true classic cars and friendly people.
That was YOU that hit the curb?? I guess it's not a Cars and Coffee without some one leaving the road.... In the rear parking lot, a black import slammed into a telephone pole, for no apparent reason.... It's a good thing the overhead electrical did not fall on it, and light them up!!
