Nice view indeed. No wonder why NH taxes that stuff.

    UPDATE:

Looking out my home office window today it looks like the yellows are becomming more prominent. This weekend looks to be it my friends for optimum in my neck of the woods. We are coning off our unmarked driveway as we sometimes get lookey-loos who do not realize the 1/2+ mile road is our private driveway (ARGH!).

My wife and i joked we should, instead, charge a toll of $100 to offset the 'view tax' LOL.... Hot tub privlidges are extra of course ;)

Below pics are from our roof. The original high-rez panorama file is over 16MB and spans over 200 degrees of a circle. Sorry it is so low rez here :(

I like that last panoramic shot. It looks like there are a bunch of houses on that lake. How tall are those trees?

It's still 90 degrees here in FL, lol! :D It was in the 70s one day and it was nice.

So what is this 'view tax' all about in NH? I've only been there once to go up Mt. Washington, but have no idea what you guys were talking about.

Will that land surrounding your place ever be developed? I hope not. That's what they're doing here in FL. Knocking everything down for new buildings. Looks terrible. I wouldn't mind moving to an area like you have. That pic with the gazebo looks like a painting. :)

It is something illegal if you ask me. It seems NH likes to add value to your land if you have a view. That added 'value' has ZERO rhyme or reason or solid way to assess.

Nope, i know the owners :)

Well, on part of the land we hope to have a large 30x50 garage with lift and other bits. If i had the $$$ there'd be <cough> r-e-a-l-l-y long and winding paved <cough> circular <cough> driveway which is <cough> needed to reduce the angle of climb/slope so that a <cough> lowered road car and FedEx/DHL <cough> can properly navigate from our home to the public road and back.

    It's what's for dinner :)

Speaking of which... Have a great eve my friend. Time to grill some steaks and enjoy the hot tub with my wife.

    LOL!!! No worries my friend:)

What a glorious morning! Seems the color has shifted today to have more reds. It is amazing to look out my window and see the colors change/evolve.

    Steven,
Thanks for posting the pics. We just moved from Bedford, MA this summer to Los Angeles...missing the most beautiful autumns in the world...those pics helped ease the transition.

PS Lots of Fcars out here (obviously)...still need to go to Crystal Cove sometime.

    Best wishes,
    Gary

    Gary,

Always glad to help. This year is/has been the best for temp/weather/color for many years. Last year was a wash out (literally) and the year before was not good either.

Oh man, in Alstead today they had a memorial at just before 7am as 4 people died from that fllod in their town. It was baaaaaaad news last year. Really wanted to hold the party, but the roads were literally GONE... washed away.

Perhaps next year the party will happen :)
