ADidn't get a good look, so I'm not sure if it was a real Rolls or a replica. It was in West Chicago on Roosevelt this afternoon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Red Porsche 924S at Shell on corner of Maple and 53. Appeared to be in mint condition. Now before some of you claim this isn't exotic, you tell me the last time you saw one of these let alone an S in mint condition.
Well the 924 was supposed to have been a Volkswagen originally. All Porsche's have their roots with Volkswagen if you want to get technical.
True, but with the 924 it was a lot more than the usual relationship: Wasn't the transmission from Audi and the engine from VW or Audi?
Red 330 in my hood. (its my neighbors... rarely see it anymore.) silver 911S targa (old school chromed one... sooo cool!)
True....at first. The one I spotted was a late model s which was soley a Porsche sourced car by that time. Still, as the prior owner of several front engined porsches (and some rear ones) I get a little twichy when we go down the "not a real Porsche" route. I doubt anyone would claim that as to a 924 carrera gts.
Lake Zurich, Today around noonish at Mc D'z Gett'n A Big Mac!!! lol Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw a black Mercedes Mclaren SLR Roadster on Devon and Ridge yesterday, also saw a Orange Lambo Superleggera on Devon and Hoyne a few minutes later.
This probably doesn't count as a spot but I consider this my "white whale". From my uncle's recent trip to the Porsche museum in Zuffenhausen. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just saw a red 458 heading south on Lasalle past Madison about 5 mins ago... sounds great even just sitting in traffic.
Could be the same person, and if it is, I would like to publically thank him for driving his/her car so often: - Red 458 heading west on Randolph over the river at 2:30 yesterday. - Red 458 heading south on Clark over the river at 1:30 today.
I must be a magnet for questionable Porsches. Yesterday in downtown Downers Grove a Porsche 914-6. This one's for you Andreas!
This morning at Rt. 83 and 31st street in Oak Brook a red F430. I then proceeded to set off numerous car alarms by driving the Speciale around the enclosed parking garage at Oak Brook mall.
Think that was me this morning. Red 430 Scud getting off at 31st from 83 about 10:40 just stretching its legs. Sorry I missed you. I would have enjoyed joining the chorus at the mall.
Yellow Gallardo Spyder at Diversey Harbor this afternoon, and a White Maserati GT in Oak Brook on 22nd tonight.
