Just got home from the run. Thanks everybody for coming. It was a great day! For those of you who got lost I can't emphasize enough... READ THE DIRECTIONS instead of following the car infront of you. The lead car got passed on Sprain PKY, and alot of cars followed, but there's a good reason for it, and I'll let Ed tell the story. Other than that, it was a great run. Traffic on GW wasn't the best way to start a run, but after we cleared the traffic it went on great. I didn't take any pictures, but I know everybody else did. Post them up here and don't forget the videos also! Hovik
Some very hot cars there today. My favs, in no particular order: The black GT2 with the carbon wing- makes me want one again. My old BBi- looking fabulous- really regret selling that car... Wil de Groot's steroidal 308- what a thing of beauty- let the 308 haters challenge him once he ups the hp even more- The blue Series 1 Countach that showed up right before you guys and gals started off. There was a mid-90's black Diablo that I hadn't seen before that looked pristine and the Lambos were out in full force. That Challenge car wasn't too shabby either. Looking forward to the pics. I 'retired' after the meet and greet to go to work, and am still at it. (This is a well-earned break). Regards to all...
Bill, Thanks for coming out and bringing the beautiful 6.0 out! Too bad you didn't have time to do the drive! Thanks for the coffee btw..
Remind me next time I see you to tell you about the dead pedal melting at the "layover" spot. If it wasn't for the fact that you told me about it not 2 hours earlier, I would have been annoyed. Instead, I just laughed.
Hovik had fun, i know a few things didnt go as planned or smoothly but it was another successfull run for the most part. Cant wait to chill soon again, we have to go party
Great seeing everybody...new faces and old. I wasn't going to hand around long as it was due to another commitment, but the GWB traffic didn't make it any more fun, that's for sure. Hope everybody drove safe and there were no incidents. Michelle, sorry for the car switch en route. Hope you had fun! Hovik, thanks for organizing bro. Best.
The run had a glitch to it....GWB construction. That kinda put a damper on the start but it is, what it is..... I had a great time. It was great meeting you guys & gals. The exotics are simply amazing, most of the cars I've seen today, I only get to see in magazines or on display. It adds a huge prospective to seeing these car on the road and hearing them roar. Ahh the Sprain, well my co-pilot (FChat member) in plain english had to go to the bathroom, and the bushes werent an option. There is a diner in Tarrytown, so I fugured if I break away from the group, make a pit stop at the diner, I can hop back on 87 and catch up to the convoy. (Thats my excuse and Im sticking to it hehehe(true story)) Well lets just say the 2 TT Porsches werent going to let a Vette take off on them like that and get away with it (LOLL). It was great, I made them work for it LOL. Dont want to get too much into details, but they got me on a turn that I was not going to push past 130, but they did. I salute you two, especially when both of you passed me on my left and right at(140+) the same time. Hovik, when bkoke away from the pack and passed you (S500), my ears were ringing. I'm like damm I'm going to hear about it LOLLL...... It's all good, getting lost, regrouping, following a car in front of you thats lost, thats what its all about. Martin it was great to meet you (finally). Niptuck, I didnt realize you were on the run as well till we met up by Bear Mnt Br. Ludmilla we finally met as well, We didnt realize, but when we were eating, Marchello was banging my whore. (LOLL) -Ed
Hovik- Thanks for organizing the run. Great job...GWB traffic was a bummer, but that's not in your control. Vik- your car is SICK, and you're one hell of a driver. Bryan- thanks for your lambo ass...my ride to the end point was worth it; it's too bad you had to leave early... It was great catching up with many of you. here are a few pics... It wasn't just the 2 TTs (actually 1 TT and a GT2) that followed you... It seemed like all hell broke lose... 1st you the Porsches and Pegasus sp?? Then couple of the NSXs, then the Lambos, then a 360, then a Skyline... Just passing me left and right doing 130+ speeds. I was like ED... You ********er. When I saw your car at the resturant.. I was thinking this ******* still had the nerve to show up at the resturant?!?!?! But thats really some crazy story that happened to your copilot.
Great run Hovik, thanks! Best part for me was running up the Bronx River with Pegasus trying catch up to rest of the pack. 130 was nothing. Another part was running through the tight twisties just after the Bear Mtn Brdg with the EVO's and 'student driver' Vette. The turns and curves through the Peekskill area were nice also but too many locals out that slowed things up. But it was still fun . Can't wait 'til spring!
LOLLL, well TT & GT2 were on my azz, Pegasus came up to represent American muscle. The sight was priceless, two Porsches & two Vettes owning the road @ 150. Yo Pegasus !!! Are you coming to Kerbeck Chevrolet for Toys for Tots run? 11/4 (as of now 400+ Vettes are registered)
After a great day of no accidents or anything(not that i knew of), we were driving home, and on the way next to the Palisades PKY, the long road leading to fortlee(9W). My dad and I noticed alot of cops and a flatbed. So we were guessing a bad car accident. Well not only was it a bad car accident, but it was a Porsche GT crashed into the trees and over the lawn and everything. It was really bad and the whole car was pretty banged up. Yea he had to be from the P-car run (put two and two together). Srry couldnt take anymore pics. Poor Guy, he was ok tho, walking around and stuff. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yea that is it, and there is also those metal electric boxes too that he knocked over, the car was really really in the woods. Like more then u can see in the pic, I am trying to upload the video i have but I have no clue how do do it, becuase it wont let me do it when its over a certain MB.
hovik: thanx for "invite" thru the nsxprime site. we missed bails, but appreciate the drive. hope you all did not get too riced out by nsx, but you did witness the highest concentration of silver ever assembled. some insane speed on sprain/taconic!!! we'll be sure to extend an invite to you & yours for our sprints. ciao!
