    Hi Folks:

Does anyone have a RED famous first Ferrari Dino decanter which they would consider selling or trading? I've seen them come up for sale on a few occassions but it's been a while since a red one appeared.

PM me if you've got one you would be willing to part with. I've got good stuff to trade if that floats your boat.

    Cheers,

    Keith

I have a green one with the label intact over the cork. If you shake it you can hear the decanter is full.

The only problem is the chassis plate is missing.

Someone on FCHAT posted the following:
Respecting chassis plates (OH GOSH, THEY COULD NEVER BE USED FOR NEFARIOUS PURPOSES).
Seek and ye shall find, and perhaps you too can become an enabler.

I'll keep you in mind if I find a red one. If it still has the chassis plate I'll run it by the chassis plate police to see if it is has any nefarious history.

Wow, it sounds like your green decanter is a keeper because nobody in their right mind would buy a Dino decanter with a missing chassis plate.

How about the cork - is it original or a repop? And the little label over the cork, is it torn or still intact? If you post a picture, be sure to blur the license plate or else you might see your decanter posted for sale on eBay by some poser looking to make off with the deposit money.

Of course, you can always drink the contents of your prized possession to numb the pain.

I'm holding out for a concours red Dino decanter but I'll consider well preserved red "driver" decanter if one surfaces.

    keith,

good luck hunting. i have only seen a handful come up for sale, which is kind of odd. i would have thought red would have been the most popular color

Decent looking yellow "driver +" on eBay now. You could repaint it. Doesn't say how many miles, but it is currently on a New York plate. Apparently no rust. I'd make sure to check the compression (both wet + dry). Books, tools, jack? Who knows?
