Kirem, I believe the yellow fan kicks in the same time as the 2 fans in front of the rad. do.

Are your fuel injection lines between the fuel distributor & the WUR (warm up reg./between the power steer'g. res. & the 'Ferrari' valve cover) coming in contact w/valve cover? I spun my tie wrap so that the base of the tie wrap was standing the lines off the cover, I don't think heat, abrasion, & fuel are a good mix.

As designed, the yellow fan comes on based on the thermo switch at the bottom of the radiator. This switch closes around 180 or so. The fan on the pass side in front of the radiator / condensor is to come on when the a/c is turned on.

Not sure on this part, but some cars are set up so that even with the a/c off, if the temp gets to a predetermined point, the second fan will come on.

Very clean eng compt by the way................

    Godspeed!

Had similar problem with my older 400gt one fan not working found to be bushes worn out on fan motor.

have a check easy to get at. I tried to make up new bushes from an old vacum cleaner alas just couldnt get it right and ended up getting a second hand replacement fan.

I am not sure but both fans come on when the temp rises and are surely needed.

    Good luck
    Regards
    Alastair

ok so at idle both front fans came on. first the passnger side came on around 95, then the driver side kicked on about 100 but then it creeped up to almost 108 and the inside yellow fan never came on..so i take it i have a problem with that fan.

On my 84 and 82 both. All 3 fans come on simultaniously or so close that you cant tell at about 95 deg C. The single fan in board of the radiator will also come on independant of temperature any time the A/C compressor is activated.
