Aloha........went down to Checkers and bought two 12" Hayden cooling fans. Half an hour later they were in and working. I went up Olinda Road (very long and steep) and oil and water were around 100 degrees, lowest ever for that road. What an improvement.....the old motors go into the old parts box...

THERE IS FOAM between the fan housing and the radiator to pad it......the amps may be less.....my alternator went out last year and I just keep a trickle charger on my battery when I park it.......never had a power problem yet....even after 60-70 miles of driving. Small island we have here. My car runs like a swiss watch.......

Thats the spirit Gregg. With those fans, you should be good forever. I lost one fan motor 10-15 years ago and just went down to Pep Boys and bought a new fan motor that was close to the right OD and shaft diameter. They let me open a batch of boxes. Got a replacement for a Japanese car that had slightly smaller OD and slightly larger shaft ID. Perfect. Put a 1/8" shim under motor and clamp fit perfectly. Bored fan hub about 1 mm and fan fit shaft perfectly. Spliced new wires to old wires and all done. Lower current draw and cooling is just fine. Foam on top of radiator makes little difference if no AC.
Got to get back over to Maui and see the your beauty. Drive and enjoy.

GB, great innovation - dino guys are known for that!

Now tie wrap those electrical lines so they don't get hung up (please don't ask me how I know, its a bit embarassing...)
