Let's hope the event goes off better than that blunder..... This is a SC-FCA Sponsored event: Something for the whole family! Please note that you may jump in at anytime. Come on Friday, Saturday, or arrive at Coach I's on Sunday for the Montreal F1 Party. As you may be aware, the movie Dirty Dancing was made at beautiful Lake Lure. After veiwing and selecting the historic Lake Lure Inn, I could not resist the title as you will see once you view some of the rooms on the website. To learn more about the Lake Lure area: www.lakelure.com FRIDAY: Arrive at the Lake Lure Inn at your leisure, dine at the hotel resturant-MJ's or the near by LaStrada at Lake Lure. www.lakelureinn.com SATURDAY: My intention is for us to enjoy our company and drive our cars, so...Begin Saturday Morning with an early morning drive to Asheville where we will dine at the Grove Park Inn for lunch. However, remember this is a family event as well. Your spouce/guest may enjoy the first class spa at the Lake Lure Inn-the Allure Spa, or enjoy the beach with the family, right in front of the Inn. www.groveparkinn.com After lunch we will drive in the Asheville area, ending at the Lake Lure Inn. After refreshing we will tour Chimney Rock Park, which is less than a mile from the Lake Lure Inn. I was there this past week, and this is not for anyone afraid of heights. The 75 mile view is astounding. www.chimneyrockpark.com Dinner will be either at LaStrada at Lake Lure or we will take a boat tour of Lake Lure to the Lodge on Lake Lure. www.lodgeonlakelure.com SUNDAY: We will leave in the morning for one of the best drives in the Southeast-The Blue Ridge Parkway to Coach I's Estate at the Clemson/Anderson Exit. Coach I, Dr. Ibrahim, has graciously invited us to be his guest. There we will have lunch among friends and his Ferrari collection and view the Montreal F1 event. This event should have something for everyone. Please jump in or depart as you see fit. However, I would appreciate some feedback as to your interest level. I have reserved 18 rooms for both nights. We have 5 rooms spoken for at this time. If the interest level is higher than anticipated, I can reserve more rooms. Also, we may be able to view an owners local collection-developing. Schedule and Pricing will follow. The rooms are inexpensive at $115-150. Discounts will apply to FCA members. Now is a good time to become a FCA member, as more events are in the planning stages! Please email [email protected] or call me at 800-922-8177 if you are interested in this event. Best Regards, David Scott SC-FCA Presdent
I would suggest Rte 28 from Franklin NC to Highlands NC. I love that road which is very curvy and is not as busy as a lot of other roads in the area. Beautiful scenary and Waterfalls all around!!.

Jeremy, those are great! If they only knew how high up the rock is... ADD to the List as probable 365 330 Maserati Coupe Can you post your routes?
I'll keep the route private, so we don't attract any un-wanted blue light specials. Anyone who shows up will obviously get a copy though.
if any confirmed members of FCA ask for directions who may be coming on sunday but will not be going to Lake Lure, have them PM me for directions....they will need to tell me where they are coming from, and I will be glad to give them directions
Looks like I am in for this one myself. Look forward to seeing all you again... or for the first time!
Jeeez---helped David come up with this thing and set it up--and he forgets my 308--guess i may have to bring the MB then since he doesnt like my f-car...
Charlse, you were first on the list as we did come up with this together!!! I was hoping you would drive that very bad AMG. I thought you would be out of town untill Sunday? Will you be doing the whole event or just working on Sunday whilist I play? By the way, I'll let out a secrete, that 308 has a 328 motor in it, an engineering feat.
You'd have to check with the Lake Lure Inn for openings, but I think there are still spots. Also drivers are welcome no matter what, and jump in where ever you can make it.
They have many rooms from what it sounded like. I booked a room about 1 hour ago for Friday & Saturday.. Had choice of about 5 different types of rooms. I would not wait though..with summer here & people doing weekend get aways it could fill up quick. Looks like a beautiful weekend in store for all of us heading up there... Regards, Chris
Thanks for booking Chris! We have 18 rooms, and booking has just started, but they should fill fast. Book it today....
