    IBM cannot directly ship out of the country, however if it is a great deal, it can be shipped to someone in the US and then shipped to you.

    These are awesome prices!! I've gone through a whole slew of laptpo before sticking with IBM. Their service and quality of product is top notch. Point in case, my T22 is still running brilliantly, no reformats, no nothing.

    Only glitch was a faulty screen. Call IBM at 2am, guy spends an hour on the phone explaining how to dismantle the ocmputer, still doesn't fix it. At 10am, someone shows up at the door, comes in, replaces the screen, walks out 20 minutes later. No paperwork, no charges, no nothing.

    I'm sold!

    IBM has discounts available all year, with specials for each holiday, but the December push has some of the bigger discounts. They do offer monitors and flat panels, but based on what you want may or may not be a great price.

    Is there a matrix somewhere that gives a comparision ACROSS model lines of IBM ?? All I can find is a matrix of comparisions within a given model (Such as the T's, or the X's)

    I am not sure, as PC's are not my focus. I know that each range, X's and T's and so on are purpose developed and each have their own sweet spot.

    I bought two T41s recently. Very happy aside from the fact that on one of them, it sometimes decides not to charge the battery. Sent it back to IBM, they sent it back - still does it. I shut down, take the battery out, put it back in, and it will start charging (usually.) Pretty annoying...

    Zach...give them a call back on the second machine. Your warranty is still good within a year, and they are pretty responsive. It may be a bad battery.

    I read in Barron's or somewhere IBM is getting out of the PC biz altogether, instead focusing on software of other "services".

    Anybody know what impact that will have on current owners?
