Thanks...The Michelotti was not there. Marcel can correct me, but i think it will not come at the Pantheon...It seems that 0872 and 35523 arrived yesterday. New pics soon...
i know of a berlinetta- and a spider body for 0872. the pic looks like two berlinetta- and one spider-bodies.
Although I do not really understand the meaning of your post I can confirm that 0872 has several complete body sets, both as Spider as well as Berlinetta. Marcel Massini
it meant i have seen the Spider and the Berlinetta body on 0872 but did not know that there are several complete sets.
We now have the yellow F50 #106685 in the show. Also 312 P #0872 and 512 BB LM #35523. Tonight was the official opening with Dr. Peter Schetty (ex-Scuderia Ferrari team manager and hillclimb champion, see photo), Fiorenzo Fantuzzi (son of coachbuilder Medardo Fantuzzi), Albert Obrist (Swiss collector), Charles Müller (Swiss gentleman driver with 250 GT SWBs, 250 LMs and 250 Lussos) and many other VIPs attending. What a great set of photos of such an intense collection of Ferraris. The lighting seems pretty favorable, which is unusual for such a setting. Did you flash any? Thank you for sharing. regards ken
Sometimes with indirect flash, but not the majority (10 to 20 %). As you can see, it's particulary difficult when you have the natural lighting (thru the "windows") front of you..
Really a great exhibition, well worth a visit. And schockingly quiet on a saturday morning. Posted another bunch of pictures here: http://www.asphalte.ch/news/2011/11/38-ferrari-au-pantheon/
Marcel, what do you know about the recent history of this car, and where it has been owned? Is it possible that in September/October 1999 it was temporarily displayed in the window of Neiman Marcus department store in downtown Dallas, Texas? If you have a moment, see: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=141015221&posted=1#post141015221 Much appreciated! Image Unavailable, Please Login
what a beautiful collection of Ferrari......shame only until April 2012.....thank you for the great pics, for those of us who will not be able and attend the fantastic exhibit!
Here is our report on the exhibition: http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/events-stories/events/2011/show/ferrari-exhibition-pantheon-basel/index.html I have been there during the week and is was very quiet, might be more on the weekends.
If you want to take pictures go on an overcast day with a tripod. I was there on a bright sunny day and the lightning was horrible. The cars on the outside were completely against the light all afternoon and the sun through the windows was wandering over the cars on the inside but most of the time just the front (later just the back) of the cars were in the sun. I had to use several off-camera flashes most of the time as there were deep shades. Have fun.
I went there while coming back from the Fianli Mondiali and the weather was indeed overcast so it was fine for the pictures but night seems even better. Anyway, I shall go again as the exposition seems to be moving, cars leaving and other taking their place.
Hi Guys. And here is my vision of the event: extraordinary cars, half of them competition models, but the environment is not really photographer friendly. Anyway, it is quite an occasion to see much mythic models all at once. Four more months to go, don't wait too much!! All the cars are here http://arthomobiles.fr/Expobale2011/expobale2011.htm cheers!
