This specific 512 TR belongs to a friend and is not for sale. He was so friendly to let me have a looooooong testdrive. Absolutely fantastic! This car showed me something that I have not experienced in a car before. Raw power and comfortable handling!

    Ton,

    wonderful pics & story:)
Seems like the whole Visser family is now addicted.
Your son looks like you have just bought the black 512TR - happy & proud of his father.
Veerle, did she drove the beast? She is also looking very satisfy with your choice;)

Yes, Ton! I`m very happy to read your strory. Now you know, what I have been talking about (but couldn`n t describe) the whole time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12 cylinder, 5 liter, +400PS......NOTHING can beat it!!!!

    Yes,

The whole family was very happy with the car! Veerle said that she liked the rear of this car a lot better than that of a Testarossa! :)
Don't you love these women? When I told her that, apart from some minor details, the rear was the same she reacted very surprised! :) :)

But.... the drive was absolutely awesome. Even in fifth gear the torque is amazing. The car just goes!
Also the sound of the 12 cylinders behind you is undescribable.
Another big surprise was that you can move the steering wheel up in the 512 TR. That gaven me a lot of extra space for my legs. It is a very comfortable car.

What makes it a little bit difficult is that I like them in black/black! That will make the search a little bit harder. Or should I settle for a red/black example!

That is too much for Switzerland. Foitek have 3 for around Chf85,000 each.
There is also a Black/red one with 20,000kms, repaired crash damage on the nose, for Chf69,000...very cheap

Edit...just realised that is Trevi's first link

Yellow! Hmmm...... that is a colour that I have to think about!

    Trevi,

The first one looks like a fake. They don't even have a picture of the car. And the price is ridiculously low.
How much Euro is 110.000 CHF?

    Simon,

I have seen that black/black one with repaired frontdamage. What are the consequences if I import a car from a non-EU country like switzerland?

You have to pay VAT(MwST) and CAR import tax. From Switzerland to Germany that is 26% ontop of the price. i'm guessing its similar for other EU countries.

The Low price black one is real, I have seen it. The repair looks good, but the garage has a bad reputation. 85,000Chf is about right for a 35,000-45,000kms 512TR here.

    1euro is about 1.5 Chf

26% on top of the price can be a lot of money. I will first check the EU market.
