See what I mean everyone. Who would want to put up with that? <just kidding> Facts... Ferrari UK section is still one of the most active regional forums. Look through the member list, the majority of those 300 users are still posting and at least viewing FerrariChat.com weekly. I'm still getting the banner hits that drive the sponsorships. No sponsors have left over this and two UK sponsors have recently renewed for another year. Either way if 300 users never logged onto FerrariChat.com ever again or we lost a couple sponsors, it would be little impact. The beauty of a large diverse community with multiple revenue channels. We don't live and die by any one element! Sorry y'all or so mad and although I'm happy and calm your continued tone and attitude is proof that we're taking the proper direction. Only explanation I can think for your anger is that you are upset that you "lost" something. That is not the case, the obvious cultural and acceptable behavior differences require you to have your own community. Be at peace everyone. Save the brawls for Ranger vs. Celtic matches. Win - Win.
I have never got or been involved in any of the fallings out that went on,i joined during the arguments. But,Rob,i must say this, some of your posts really make you sound like a pompous, arrogant, and condescending oaf.I`m sure this is not the case,i`m sure your really a nice guy, perhaps you should read your posts a couple of times before posting. I`m still not getting involved in the UK section v Rob Lay argument, perhaps better judgement all round is required.
Of course I'm not really a bad guy, would we have come this far if I was? However, things get way out of control in a one dimensional form of communication. No matter how low and abusive other users get, as admin I need to hold myself above that. I'm not here to kiss anyone's butt or lay down for others, I think that is what some British users expect of me. Remember, the sun never sets on the British empire.
HI ROB no you are not really a bad guy as for the low and abusive bit you must have a very strong grip i would not want you to kiss my butt either but i hope if we bump into each other i hope you will buy the first beer then i will be sure that you dont bear any grudges
Lets qualify that statement;below are post stats for 3 months following UK 's move Other place : 0 to 36,562 - 1,818 mod threads = 34,744 Fchat: 140,563 to 142,815 = 2,252 Not exactly kicking off in UK Fchat is it
I didn't say Ferrari UK forum was what it was. Far from it as your stats indicate. I'm just saying it is still one of the most active regional forums on FerrariChat.com. Was the previous another one of our culture gap one dimensional miscommunications? Quality over quantity or in this case sanity over craziness. First round on me! Let me tell you I was the master of the boat races in the UK! All that American college binge drinking taught me how to inhale beers. I'm a legend in my own mind and one or two British witnesses too.
