    Dunno about all the bad press, but theres been a couple in my family. While not reliable in the german or japanese sense, they both saw more than 100k miles, so they were decent. If I wanted a "entry" italian car, I'd consider a rust free one. Of course, if you are up north, that's probably not so obtainable...

    The Bertone X1/9 was the same situation: when FIAT pulled out of the U.S. market the X1/9 was sold for a few years under the Bertone name, and again, the name "FIAT" never appeared anywhere on the car.
