wonderful work! Fantastic use, and interpretation of colour!! love your style. i am trying to exand my use of acrylics as well. Great medium, but i still have a ways to go... Watercolours and inks have been my forte, but i am always trying to "expand my horizons", as they say... and welcome aboard... keep posting your work. We love to see it! GT
thanks Ferrariartist! your not bad using color either, your work is very sharp...most impressive! altough oils are my prefered medium, acrylics are lots of fun, especially with fast little studies...

i used to use gouache a lot as a kid and liked it a lot but acrylics are more versatile, you can use it as oils and as watercolors...
I love gouache paints. I often will use them as a base for my paintings and then work in the details with acrylics, oil pastels, inks, dyes, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login
hi Dincenz, thanks for your reply, i wonder why you start with gouache, why not straight with acrylics? is that a photo shopped photo?if it's a painting i would be eager to see more!! tried your website but there's nothing there...
Thankyou for the kind words. It is an actual painting. I use guoache because when it dries it gives me a "chalky" surface. The next layers that I add with oil pastels seem to stick better that way. Acrylic can be used if mixed with gesso. I use a thin wash of linseed oil to blend the oil pastels. This is what brings life into the painting and gives it a more photorealistic appearance. Another f-chatter is currently working on getting my website completed. In the meantime, I will see if I can find a few more pictures to post.
yes Dincenzo, the plastic in acrylics can sometimes be a problem... look forward seeing more of your work, always interested in non photo-realistic-car-art! good luck with your web site ps have you ever thought of doing a blog, (like this;http://famousred.blogspot.com/) so easy to do,looks good and is interactive!
