    Just got my Ultima GTR together enough to run it up and down in frt. of the shop yesterday.Wow. I am still amazed. I haven't felt what I felt then for years. My Diablo SVR pretty much tore everything else to shreds but this car is insane. Seat of the pants tells me 0-60 in 3 sec. or less. My 15 year old who has driven my Diablo and has ridden in it at 190mph on the track said it reminded him of a rollercoaster ride without going downhill. He said by the time I hit second gear he shut his eyes things came up on us so fast.
    I have to admit, after the first run even I was glad to let off the gas. The only cars that have given me this feeling are some of the old IMSA prototypes.
    I hope I can get the car finished and dialed in for the One Lap at the beginning of May.

    damn. that's one hell of an explanation of acceleration! i've been in a 1000whp supra and i would imagine it's something similar to that. makes u dizzy

    Yup, 0-60 in about 2.5 sec. It is a fast car. Drove mine today up and down 421 in NE Tennessee, alloy motor and no air conditioning made it even lighter. It is still LOTS faster than I am. After you get used to the acceleration the brakes are going to blow you away. It is a stunning fast car. Let me know when you are going for a ride.

    An Ultima at a Ferrari track day? Also, Hagerty Insurance doesn't take kindly to the car being on any type of track...they did agree to cover it while it was parked in the paddock!

    I may have to get some other insurance the way this seat thing is going. I have to head back over to Charlotte to get my stock seat rails to put on these Sparcos, unless anyone has a set of 355 sliders for cheap.

    Fastest Street car I have driven was my old 1995 AWD TSI. I had it up to 150-155 mph. I done a little modding to it under the hood but sold it and got my little 02 Honda Civic. I thought the Honda would lessen the danger of me getting a Speeding ticket but not the case for me in 2005.

    Daniel, perhaps we can negotiate...how many years of free Ferrari parts for an exhilarating spin through Downtown Charleston in a cherry 1994 Toyota Camry? It's only got 60,000 miles...SWEET RIDE!! And after that, a cool ride in a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country...with a navagation system...call me;)
