Fastest you have gone in your 458

The pro point for the Speciale seems to be the gearbox, not the top speed

Can you have your 488 sent to a track?? And drive it on the track! It's much more fun than on the freeway or streets with other drivers who don't know what they are doing.

 

120 mph on time LA to Vegas. I'm a wimp.

 

What was your max tire temperatures at that speed?

 

I did 341kmh exactly in two different 488. Both were maxed out at 341 not a dream of any faster. Both cars have videos of their top speed runs online that I'll look for.

I'm doing 160 mph with my BMW X6 all the time since I need to go from Munich to Frankfurt quite often. But it needs to be Saturday or Sunday morning/evening due to the traffic...

 

Yup, been there, when I lived in Germany in mid-1980's I drove an M635csi, regularly ran it out to the limits on the Munich to Austria ski runs we made every year, would top out at about 150mph IIRC. Funny that one day I was flashed in the left lane while I was pushing 130, and an Audi station wagon blew by me driven by an older woman....never forgot that experience.
The A-bahns are great, but in any stock vehicle an accident at those speeds is ugly, witnessed quite a few deaths over that 3 year period.

I've had my 458 run at just over 180mph...for about 5 seconds....have to admit it was both exciting and scary at the same time.
