And to think, all I did for father's day was go to Steamboat Steakhouse and then came home and took a 2 hour nap.

What a great day to celebrate the day with your dad. Really hope I can afford to buy my dad a custom '56 Chevy some day. His dad told him to save up the money and then come and see him. My dad earned it and then his dad said, "good. now put it in the bank." Wise yes. But I can tell to this day my dad still dreams of that car as I dream of Ferrari's. Would love to surprise him on a Father's Day by pulling up in that car. He's done so much to give me everything growing up.

I would also love to buy him a Triumph TR-6 similar to the one he had in his early 20's. Said that car gave him the most hell, but it was still the most fun car he ever owned.

    Looked like a great time!
I know how your Dad feels about his old TR6. I have one that I drove in high school. They are lots of fun but boy did the electrical problems stink. I was on a date one night and when I pushed the clutch in sparks shot out from just above the pedals and caught my sock on fire, then everytime I turned the wheel the horn would go off, and finally the lights went out except for the brights which would only work by pulling the stalk back. Since I had to shift and steer, my date had to reach accross and keep the lights on. I learned a ton working on the TR6, lots of great memories.

Hey, the TR6 wasn't my dads, only the 360 and QP. But those old cars are fantastic. I'm sure half the fun of them nowadays is fixing them. It was a fun day, just too bad about Phil in the Open...

Sorry, I should have taken more, but I spent all my time drooling over the SLR.

    Nice!

Thats always the problem isn't it.

You wanna take as much pictures as possible but at the same time, can't sacrifice any time to see the car in person!
