I say 99% of them suck. I always try to go to locally owned joints. Usually the food is better and the atmosphere is almost always better. Plus, I like to support the hard working little guys. The only one that I've ever been to that I liked was PF Chang's. Are there any others that are worth a crap?

Del Frisco's. Ruth's Chris. Il Mulino.

But seriously - Ruby Tuesday makes some good burgers and I've always been a fan of Cheesecake Factory.

I have enjoyed all the Longhorn Steakhouses I've tried throughout the country.

For fast food I prefer Arby's, but also need my monthly Taco Bell fix too.

I am willing to drive hundreds of miles to have the french toast at The Cracker Barrel. My gf and I even discussed a road trip to the closest Cracker Barrel... which is in Arizona... and I live in the SF Bay Area. At a former job, I was often flown out to Richardson, TX... I would wake up early and drive 25+ mins each way to one of their locations in Mesquite. That's almost an hour of driving in the morning just for their french toast, which should say it all. Did much the same when I was flown out to Tampa, FL.

I've heard their pancakes are phenomenal as well, but I never bothered to find out.

Don't eat any lunch or dinner food there-- it's absolute crap. Breakfast only.

It's a sickness, but their french toast is almost indescribably good.

Makes me wanna drive the 15min's to my local Cracker Barrel for some of that toast, thank's! Speaking of their dinner's I ate dinner at their Austin location two year's ago, naturally had the chicken fried steak, and I thought it was pretty good just alittle small.

My favorite chain restaurant is HOOTERS!

You're probably going to laugh but i love Burger King.

Hardly ever eat there though as the nearest one is miles away, and to be honest the local kebab shop is better.

Morton's for steaks and Houston's for ribs.

Cracker Barrel is a welcome sight on the highway. I also like Culver's. I'm not too picky with my food--I love a good hamburger/fried stuff and a few beers or cocktails.

That one got me torqued also as it was a GREAT dish!

+1 on the Cheesecake factory and PF Chang's. Living in a town with no decent food (Except for two restaurants), just about any chain tastes good!

Ruth's Chris seems all over the board. I have eaten there in several cities. From their dumpy location in Austin (Which is probably the worst), middle of the road in Vegas to their extremely well decorated, new and well chef'ed location in Madison, WI. Regarding the austin location, it's like booking a room at a Doubletree and when you get there, you find it's an old converted apartment complex with disapointing rooms.

Cracker Barrel and Chick Fila (although that's more fast food really). I'm a redneck at heart.

In & Out would make the list if the closest one wasn't 1000 miles away. :( Also a fan of King Taco, but same problem.

there is no point to PF Chang's when there are so many good, different Chinese restaurants at half the price. much the same can be said for Mexican joints.

Ruby Tuesday has a burger I like a lot.
I go to PF Changs whenever we go shopping. Or Mortons if we are at that mall.
Macaroni Grill had a chicken dish I liked that they took off the menu, i haven't been back since.

I usually go to locally owned places, the food seems less processed and the service is better.

Buca DiBeppo: I enjoy eating there at the booth they have in the kicthen (By request). Watching the person handling the Expo can be interesting.

In-n-Out Burger: I don't get it. Their burgers are 'OK' at best. No thrills, sauces, etc. and you have to ask (beg) for ketchup and mustard. As for their fries, I think they suck. Nothing exciting about them (based against the yummy taste of Mc D's fries). Great business model? 100%. Great taste? '5' on a 1 to 10.
