In the Metroplex---Burger Street. Much better than any of the above mentioned and still affordable...........................

Also in the Metroplex...Chapps Hamburger Cafe.....not exactly fast food but very good burgers for a good price and very quick. They even come with grilled onions--standard, not extra cost option..........

Definetly In n Out burger. Apollo Burgers is a close second though. They only have Apollo in Utah, as far as I know.

Big Mac, although homemade on the grill always tastes good. Is there a burger that doesn't taste good?

Actually my favorite burger place is Kincaid's in Ft. Worth. But fast food needs to have a drivethrough in order to qualify for this question. McDonalds #3 without onions please! :)

OH, I've got another one. The Bullet at Zig's. Here's the good part, it is right across the street from the Auto Gallery. So, you have a big 'ol juicy cheeseburger and walk it off looking at Ferraris and Porsches! :)

Double-Double with cheese animal style at In 'N' Out.

We don't have them up in Washington, but whenever I travel down to Pleasanton, California I usually fly down in the evening. My tradition is to pick up the rental car, drive over to Pleasanton, and then go to In 'N' Out. I get a Double Double (animal style--with grilled onions) with cheese, fries and a shake. Sit in the parking lot eating, listening to Loveline on the radio. I can taste it now...

McDonald's cheese burgers are like candy!! (minus the pickles, onion, and mustard, of course.)

My favorite though is The Varsity, a local chain here in ATL.

Steak Depot - several in L.A. - best in town - mushroom burger for me
Hamburger Hamlet - not exactly "fast," but...
L.A. Convention Center concession stand - shockingly good
    Carls Jr "$6"
In 'n' Out - doubledouble - "cook it 15 seconds longer, please" (otherwise, *fart* undercooked)
Fatburger - aftertaste for 24 hours
White Castle - none on West Coast *weeps* - in your grocer's freezer, addicts
    Astro
    Wendy's
    TommyBurger - loaded
    "Jack" in the Box
    McDonalds
    Burger King

Here in Toronto there are a ton of Independent Burger joints that rock !
But standouts are ..Lick's , HeroBurgers, Johnny's , and I actually really like the new BIG HARV at Harvey's....
