That would be a genuine keyfob. The owner of the 308GTSi in question, took it right of the key and gave it to me, after he had given me a drive in this fine automobile. One of those moments that inspire you to follow this passion through. Right to the bitter end! sorry, no pics.
Good idea for a thread! My favourite piece: The invitation/confirmation letter from FNA to visit the factory. When we arrived at the factory some Dutch Ferrari club was there as well with more people than they allow for the visit. Their president talked to the factory to persuade them to let his people visit in instead of me and my friends. Standing nearby I heard their answer: "Sire, these folks are guests of Ferrari North America. They have priority." That weasel later came to me trying to apologize. I felt like throwing him into a metal press.
MMMM. A few favorites: FI Piston on the table by the humidor, Water color of our 308 on the wall, Lego F1 car, Javelin Art wall sculpture. DMAX Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Retro-style Ferrari garage clock with neon face, and atomic-signal alarm clock that projects the time with a prancing horse on the ceiling above my bed, the alarm is Ferrari engine sounds. Both gifts from my wife.
wow, that must be fantastic to have that honour of a look in the factory. did you get to look right down all the production line etc? a dream come true i bet. is it true that if you buy a new ferrari ie pre ordered, you go there to have seats measured up for you and pedal positions etc?
Basically three production lines: 12 cylinders, 8 cylinders and Enzo. Was pretty cool indeed. Also went to see the separate place where they build the engines etc. I got my car 2nd hand, but I believe the seat measurements is done only for special cars like Enzo and Stradale.
Of all the Ferrari STUFF I have, this is my favorite, because, as with the allure of Ferrari, it's very rare, only 1 of 1. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have posted this before in a schedoni luggage thread, but I just love the 3-piece fitted luggage set for the F40. The 4th item (small and flat) is the document pouch Image Unavailable, Please Login

Actually, I have two favorite Ferrari pieces - first is photo below taken at an F1 Test Day last April at Fiorano where MS is signing one of my large yellow Ferrari flags and also signed one of my teddy bears (I have a definite like for yellow!) and the other is part of a Xmas present - a F2004 nosecone assembly. When I think of my favorite Ferrari piece, it has to be something that I would never part with, no matter the price. In my case, it's not my 1:1 308GT4, nor is it a CMC or Exoto model, nor is it an autographed Enzo Ferrari item or Michael Schumacher piece - it's a simple, yellow, 1:18 Bburago 250TR in yellow that came as a kit. The year after my freshman year in college, I went back "home" (my parents' house) for the summer. I went out on a date with a girl who'd just graduated from my H.S., but only one date. You see, she was leaving a couple days later for a 3-week long trip across Italy with a tour group. When she came back, we spoke on the phone, and she mentioned that she got me a present from her trip. Remember - 1 date - she had no idea that I loved Ferraris, and had loved them as long as I can remember, nor did she know that I collected model cars, nor did she know that I really fancy the color yellow on sports cars. I was absolutely blown away to unwrap my gift and see that it was a yellow model Ferrari - and a 250TR, to boot. Not bad! That was 8 years ago...we'll have been married 4 years this coming June! Thats a great story! I got that kit as well ...and as a kit it makes a great model too! But the fact your wife gave that to you makes it worth a whole lot more than whatever it is that the kit cost! Damn....that really is a cool story..In fact as Im typing Im trying to think of what my wife gave me..course she knew about Ferraris by the time she started shopping. Think it was a Schedoni wallet. Anywho....great story...and post pictures!
