My team and myself. If I could find a cheap enough go kart, I'd be back racing asap Pete's thinking about it
Michael Schumacher and Ferrari. I have been with both since I started watching F1. Now that they are one in the same team, I am loving F1.
Favourite team? I'd have to say Minardi. They do it for the love of the sport, they're not after any financial return. Favourite driver? Alonso! Or perhaps Sato ... talk about Banzai driver ... I'm sure he's holding a knife in his mouth during the races!! LOL
Only lowly club cars ... like a MGB, Alfa Sud (started out standard, ended up with around 170 hp and a lot of problems ) and then a space frame club sport car that I won the championship with ... 200 hp and 512 kgs, lots of fun. Really hanging for a race again, but saving for a house + family, etc. ... a kt100 go kart would be a good restart Pete
Just this week, I started liking MS the best (Mr. 80 wins) 13 wins in 14 races...MS has shown that winning a F1 race is as challenging as beating-up 8 year old girls and a puppy. He just keeps smashing the entire F1 field like a school-yard bully. It just never gets old for him. I use to like JPM because I thought he was the most crazy (and thus our best hope to make a F1 race exciting). But we now have a new champ in the odd-ball catagory. How long can MS go without losing the "thrill"? We don't have any passing... so I found something new to watch for. How long can MS stay excited about beating everyone? This is the only unknown in F1 since the races have become so predictable.
Favorite teams (in order): Ferrari, Toyota, Renault, Jaguar. This is a manufacturers' series, and those are the manufacturers. Ferrari and Toyota build the whole thing themselves. Renault does too, now, but we can't buy Renaults in the US, so it doesn't matter whether they're good cars. (Besides, Renault used to be Benneton, used to be Alfa.) Jag is two parts of the Ford monster, which is almost as good as one shop building it all (or not, based on results). What Williams learns from F1 goes nowhere. BMW might learn something, but they do most of their research away from the track, and put non-race tested stuff on their cars. I suppose it works, but it's not the "win sunday/sell monday" approach. Favorite drivers: Nikki Lauda. Alain Prost. Mario Andretti. Of the current field, I'd like to see Rubens get out of Michael's shadow once in a while. But I recognize that Michael casts a big shadow -- there just aren't any other drivers around that have that level of skills. But his controversial history keeps "Dr.Chop" from being one of my favorites, although I don't begrudge the wins. He's done wonders to bring Ferrari back, and his record is unparalleled. I recognize the skill, but ... If I have a current favorite, it might be Panis: proof that you don't have to be too young to drink to be an F1 driver.
Team: Scuderia Ferrari - Of Course ! Current Driver: Kimi Raikonnen - MS successor in waiting, Past Drivers: Moss, Senna, Hill, Fangio, in that Order ! Seb
Not much suspense or creativity for that matter in my response... Team - Scuderia Ferrari Driver - Michaeal Schumacher Although I have been a closet fan of Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso for a while now, I think it's time to come out!
My Favorite Teams: Ferrari & BAR My Favorite Driver: Giancarlo Fisichella Speaking of Fisichella... What a performance he put on yesterday. He started last and finished 6th, only 12.8 seconds behind Schumacher. That is pretty incredible if you ask me. It will be interesting to see how Fisichella and his Sauber team performs at Hockenheim
Favorite team: Ferrari (Williams comes a close second) Favorite Driver: Johnny Herbert (I know he drives an Audi in the LeMans series, but he's my favorite just the same)
Favorite Team: Herbie the Love Bug Favorite Driver: Herbie HERBIE GOES BANANAS over Ferrari, Porsche, anyone!!! Remember in those awful flicks he would somehow garner the speed and power to blow past Ferrari's and Ford GT40s. Wow, if only the 21st century could put all that Love Bug technology into a Formula 1 car. RocketBoy
Is what F1 has turned into with the technology more responsible for a teams success than the driver, and while its great Ferrari has domoed in recent years MS record isnt such a great feat IMO especially when team orders contribute to some of those wins.im sure ill be laughed and mocked for such a view, and so ill blame it on too many years of attending F1 races at a time when the driver didnt have a jillion processors controlling the cars performance and it wasnt the overpriced dog and pony show its become.
