The difference is hand made v machine made.
They still have the wooden dolly they used for the 246 sheetmetal at the factory . Believe me it has a lot of character.

I think I'd like a Mondial 8. If you study the production figures, they made a lot less than F40s :)

Looks like a UK car, nice. You have what appears to be an incorrect valve stem fitted to your rear rim.

Unless it has an extended cap, that rim appears to have the early 70s style stem that was common on the 15" Cromodoras. The stem is steel, usually nickel plated and the collar about 15mm long. The correct ones for the Qv are anodised aluminium and the collar being about 10mm long. Here is a pic.

make sure you put something decent on unlike most tight wad 308 drivers that are happy to fit cheapies. Or re-treads if you are blackjag

I might be tight on a lot of things but tyres I take very seriously.
I have not had chance to look into this subject on the 308 yet the current tyres have plenty of tread the reason I want to change is that I have no idea how old they are. From the side walls that have a few slight cracks in guessing they are fairly old so I will change to be careful.
Any tips on the best ones to go for?

the year that I had both the F40's in that tent, was one of my favourite points of my whole Ferrari life. I remember there was a 206SP and a 250 testarossa (both brought out from the UK I think and worth millions), but, the 2 F40's in the corner, were the crowd pleasers by miles. and I remember taking out the LM around the track with that STUPID mclaren F1 in front of me and I had to brake all the way around the track , especially down the straight, because the LM was going to go over the top of him.
