Why aren't we talking about Favre? ;) :D
Unlike the past five years or so, this year Favre appears ready to play this fall, although I would guess he won't go through most of summer practice and come in after the second pre-season game. Childress seems to let him do whatever he wants. If The Vikings were able to win the Superbowl this year I would anticipate Favre retiring and when he enters the HoF he would request it be as a Viking instead of a Packer. Marcus Allen wanted to do something similar as a Chief instead of a Raider IIRC.
LeBrand's fifteen minutes are up for the summer. He'll get a ton of attention as the season rolls around, but there's not much more to bore people with right now.
Funny. untrue, but funny. He's not. After 18 years in the league, that's all? I am not so sure LeBron is one of the 15 best players this year. I think he is one of the most overrated athletes of all time.
LeBrand screwed himself. If he, Wade and Bosh manage to win a title in Miami, credit will go to the group. A title is expected from this trio and LeBrand just took the easy way out in pursuit a ring. If Miami doesn't win a title, LeBrand will get trashed for selling out Cleveland and failing with the best trio in basketball. He can't win in this situation. If LeBrand had stayed in Cleveland and won, he would have become what Jordan was to the Bulls. If he stayed and never won, he would have at least pursued a noble cause for the sake of his home town. This is what happens when you let your high school buddies run your empire and surround yourself with yes men. LeBrand deserves everything he has coming. Now, can anyone tell me if Favre threw passes today in Mississippi?
funny to hear the comparisons of lebron to KOBE. Kobe stuck around and built a championship winning team. A couple of them he carried on his back. Lebron, on the other hand.........................
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com//2010/football/nfl/08/03/favre/index.html?hpt=T2 Rumor has it that Favre will not return this season. Seems way too early, so there's still plenty of time for Brett to change his mind again. And again.
Well, I'm a Vikings fan and I think he is coming back. He'd be crazy not to. He had by many measures the best season of his career last year and the referees are to blame for the Vikings not getting to the Super Bowl, not Favre and AP. But for this year, the Vikings have one of the best defenses and run games in the NFL, good receivers, and we made good choices in the draft. They should definitely be considered a Super Bowl favorite. He just wants to skip training camp, maybe by the time you play 18 years in the NFL you don't have to go?
Bwahahahhaha!!!! That made my day. I almost wet my self from laughing so hard! Lol. I'm sure the NFC Title game loss had nothing to do with AP's fumbles. (btw as good as he is he is not the best RB in the league. The best protects the ball) Favre's INT did either. Lol
Glad you let a post on an internet forum make your entire day... I never said AP was the best running back in the league, but I can say with absolute certainty he is in the top 2. And Favre's INT should have had nothing to do with the Vikings losing, if the NFL had half decent overtime rules each team would have an opportunity to score. If history repeats itself, and it always does, in 2010 the Vikings will be back and the Saints will go 8-8 or something. They were a total fluke.
Farve is great. I hope he wins this year but if he goes into the HOF in anything but a cheese suit I would be sad.
I love how the 4-letter network once again starts airing all the Favre stats, highlights, etc. Seriously, why can't they be like everyone else and just say we'll see. Apparently the Viks are offering him $16mm.
ESPN has become nothing more than a business partner for major sports teams and stars. It's comical. $16mm guaranteed, plus another $4mm in incentives was the latest that I read about.
If AP holds on to the ball he would be number one. Let's see if he learned anything from that game. The Saints should (and probably will) win the division. The NFC is going to be a ball buster this year. 5 or 6 teams with a legit shot at winning it.
And to think as a boy growing up in Wisconsin this is the same guy I used to emulate on the playground playing football. <shakes head in disgust> He is just as bad, maybe worse, than LeBron. Total attention whore.
Now he's spinning the "I never text my teammates." Playing it right again to get more money, even though "it's not about the money".
