    Several good places:
    - motor home camping after turn 14
    - outside between 2 and 3
    - motor home camping after 3
    - turn 5
    - both sides of turn 6
    - turn 12 (Canada corner)

And to take it all in go to the top of the hill of the RA Center (near Toyota bridge).

There are so many good places that it pays to just rent a golf cart and drive from viewing spot to spot.

Someone was trying to get an owners 333SP meet at the 2009 Road America convention. It would also make sense to try and get the 410 Superamerica cars in the USA to come up since they have several in the region already.
Maybe the speciale 410's, #1423SA, #1323SA and #1015SA and others could be asked to come up to show the cars and maybe run a few laps at Road America. What a great sound they would make driving between the trees!!

Turn 5 and Turn 12 without any doubt!!

The area before Turn 5 is slightly downhill and is often an area where guys get into trouble because they misjudge their speed (you can get over 200 here) and hit the turn too fast (90 degree left turn). After they make the turn the go straight uphill and have another 90 degree left at the top.

Turn 12 is great because guys are also coming slightly downhill and have to make a 90 degree to the right then go slightly uphill. Great turn because you are really in the woods for this one. Best view IMO is standing IN the woods along the fence (elevated) right after the turn.

Wait till you guys see this place. Best track in North America and one of the best in the world HANDS DOWN.

I am flying back for it.

If flying private you will have more choices. Forget Oshkosh since apparently the National is the same time as the fly-in. Look around Sheboygan, Appleton and Fond du Lac. I know a Gulfstream can do Fond du Lac because that was how I got there one time.

Ha!! Yeah, I am looking forward to this one. I have a lot of friends in the FCA back in Wisconsin and Iowa. We talk still but I haven't seen them in almost 3 years. Will be nice seeing the old group again. And then there is the Chicago contingent....... ;-)

This will be a first time event for me. Have already made my reservations and am looking forward to tracking my 599 at road america. I've had a chance to look at the track via the internet and the straights look awesome. I think I read somewhere that the course layout is such that I may be able to get that 12cyl. screaming up to 200mph. in the straights. Would like to know if I am going to be allowed to try. My brother in Florida is a real muscle car guy. Should be getting the new camaro he has on order by late March. Assuming GM is still in business. He ordered the V8 SS/RS version with all the bells and whistles in bumblebee yellow. Plans on driving it up this summer and I would like to know if he becomes a member of the FCA (does not own a F car). If he would be allowed to track his car with me at road america that weekend for a little mano a mano. He plans to do a little tracking at PBIR before coming up and I would really like the opportunity to see what both drivers and cars can do in a controlled environment. Just a little brotherly competition. We don't get a chance to see much of each other anymore since I left Florida 4 years ago. Would be something pretty special that we could do together and would remember the rest of our lives.

What do we have as a St. Louis area contingent or those going up I-55 to Elkharrt? We live a couple miles from I-55 and I-270. Did our reservations at Osthoff to arrive July 28. A nice caravan of F-cars woiuld be nice. An attorney in the group would be beneficial too; can't remember if my current speeding ticket probation will be finished by then.

JMF - I am seriously thinking about driving the TR to the event as I did in Asheville for the F-Cup last year. I am in the MD/DC area as you know. We should definitely figure out a route to meet up.

I have always loved RA and wish it could host a USGP - but I don't think anyone would ever put up the money for renovations or pay Bernie's ransom. Not to mention the lack of hotels and other attractions in the area to support such an event...

That would be great! Let's make a plan....maybe other will come along as well.

Also, when I attended Watkins Glen, I found a beautiful Bed and Brakfast with a carriage house garage. I don't think there is any covered parking at the hotel. I wonder if anyone knows of any local homes, B&B's or other than have garage space?

Andreas, I really like your sense of enthusiasm and have already started the countdown. I haven't forgotton about getting you some seat time behind the wheel of my "black beauty". Looking forward to a little seat time in your mod 308 "red beauty" as well.
