Curious, any of the 348/355 group going to Elkhart Lake, WI for the FCA meet? Haven't been to one before so I was wondering if anyone had been before or was planning on attending?
    Impressions anyone?

I have not been to a FCA event before but since this year is right in my backyard (45 min.) away from me. I will definitely be there, but not sure about the doing track session. However, RA is one of the best track in the county with over 4 miles long and a couple high speed straights should get you into the 130-140 mph range. I remember a few years ago got passed by a Gulf sponsored Mclaren F1 race car on the track with me doing over 120mph range at the end of the straight. He made me looked like I stomped on my brakes... hard :)! There is a Thread started in the Chicago section regarding the event.

Long shot I am flying up from DC and meeting Almost Retired and we will drive up for a day or two. Depends on the kid, so at this point it is about 10:1, but I would like to come up and see all the cars.

I have been to several nationals and they are great events. The track days are the best. If you are going, try to make that a priority. It will be something you will always remember fondly.

Thank you guys for the replies. A bit groggy now as I just got into HK last night. Never sleep well the first couple of nights. I do hope I can find the time to go. Depends on my business as that is during peak season for me.

It's about a good 5+ hour drive as there is no interstate for over 1/2 the trip. Do you guys belong to FCA? Worth the dues?
I guess I missed the Ferrari meet here as it was last weekend according to my friend. Off to Vietnam tomorrow so I don't expect to see too many Ferraris there!

    Thanks,

    Steve
