FCA-DFW Detail Tech session

On Saturday the 26th of march the DFW chapter of the FCA had their detail tech session in conjunction with the Meguiars chemical company. This was a comprehensive discussion of the problems with the newer car finishes and how to address them. Marci's car was designated our example car and was treated to a redo on the hood as that was the area on which we concentrated.

Tony Mitchell the CEO of Wash Solutions and Dave Smith of Mequiars conducted the presentation and Q & A session-which was ongoing. I learned several things about the proper preparation and execution of washing, waxing and maintaining your finish and I suspect others did as well.

As a side note I would like to thank the two people on the motorcycle and the fellow in the Toyota who stopped to help me push the M off of Hillcrest when it suffered an electrical problem. Also to Jerry of Speciality Carriers who got a flatbed there in very short time to rescue the car. To the guy in the red Ferrari on Hillcrest who saw us and did not stop, I guess you were late to the bank to cash in your coupons that you just clipped. Believe me I would have stopped for you.
