I hope I can make this one, but probably not. My 328 won't show either. Looking for someone to take me there as I should be able to walk on my own by then.
i am going to try to make it that weekend.like i sed kichen is painted.some of you no what i mean.i need to call rob for the trailer.
This event is open to anyone, even other car clubs. The only events you need a FCA membership for are the driving events that require insurance.
I'll try to come, and bring my soon to be father-in-law. He's in from Denmark and he might get a kick out of seeing a bunch of Ferrari's. Taxes in DK are so crazy, a new 360 will start at about $3/4 million.
Rob, I don't understand this aspect. Why is FCA insurance necessary? A person's personal car insurance should be just fine.
to cover our butts. if you crash your ferrari into a kid on a bike while at a driving event sponsored by FCA trust me they will sue FCA too if they find out.
I should make this one, as of today I have no plans whatsoever. Jim S, are you going or are you still on new-baby house arrest? You can ride over w/ me if you want, but no promises on how late I'm staying out! Actually, I guess I should ask my wife first if she wants to go.
Then ask yourself this, what does FCA "sponsorship" offer in a driving event? Sounds like a semantic argument.
Can you post more details on Agenda of the day. I am in the market for a 355 Berlinetta and would love to drive up to dallas that weekend. Just need more details on the event. thanks
NSX, I'm not sure there's really an 'agenda'. We meet at Carsons around 6pm, then hang out w/ all the other owners and talk about cars. We eventually migrate inside for dinner or appetizers or cocktails. Some of us will close the place, some of us will leave by 9pm. Carsons is more of a nightclub than anything else, but early in the evening it's a good place to eat and socialize.
I don't care for the rain too much, but at some point will have to decide if it's a BMW night or a Ferrari night. Last time it rained the car didn't melt, but was a ***** to clean.
Was planning to drop in at Carson's, will a Maserati Coupe be acceptable among the other exotics? I promise it will be clean.
Actually, it will be in good company with the other Maseratis (we've had up to two before), Lamborghinis (we've had one), Lotus, NSX, Porsche, Vipers, and etc. The Ferraris usually outnumber all the others combined though. I'm not expecting too many Ferraris if it rains, but we'll still have a great time. Everyone and any car is invited.
Instead of "exotic car night" maybe we should call it "Winter-Beater night"... everyone drive thier other cars.
You guys aren't going to believe the story on the 328. I'll have to get the details from Ken before I post it in the Tech section. I don't know if it will even be done today. Never take your car in for a rattle! Although if I didn't I may of had a blown engine, my 328 after 40 months is no longer inexpensive. If I go 3 more years without a major expense then the average will be OK, although then I will need the 30k again.
