Sorry I couldn't go to Humperdinks, but when I checked in, I got nailed with picking up the 8th grader. Carts were fun. 2nd and 3rd carts wouldn't turn right without major plowing. I'll be back.

Sorry I disappeared, but I needed to get home because my wife and I had other plans.

Cool, thanks for coming out Phil. Nice to meet you. Looked like you had some skills, you were one of the only ones in the group hitting the 180 apex. Any racing background?

Those karts have really been hit or miss the past year or so. I do think there are less and less misses each time we go now, but they still have much to improve. Here are all the problems I've seen with the karts...

    - No power (many times a low charge, but also electrical problems... you have good power and when you hit the brakes it will cut the power and not come back).
    - Bad handling (sometimes the tires aren't even aired correctly, other times it will turn good one way, but not the other)
    - Transponder not working.
    - Loose panels, loose steering wheel, and other parts (they simply just need to "nut and bolt" the dang things.

I don't know why it's taking years just to get the above things fixed.

I didn't get a bad kart all night long. This was definitely my least frustrating kart-racing night.

Thanks Rob. No real experience other than 30 laps at Green Valley in the early 80's in a formula ford. What was fun was when someone passed me on the turn before the 180, and when I slid past him on the next turn he shouted "nice pass". I definately could not keep up with you pro's in the group, as my best time was 22.64.
Hope to organize a group to go in the summer or fall to east texas and look at an amazing car collection I posted a few months back. Includes a '59 Testarossa, and a ton more cars and collectibles. Will get back on that later.

I also didn't get T-boned by Rob or Tillman this time, making for a really special evening.

Technically, that wasn't a T-bone last time. It was just a matter of conflicting apexes.

Gotta watch out next time when running against those MULLET racers. One T boned me & put himself in the wall. LOL!:D

My neck disagrees. I think that's called divebombing the apex.

Don't worry Ron, Rob decided it was MY turn to get spun last time.

Yes, I should be kicked out a year for that move. I honestly thought it was one of those punks that hit me several times on purpose, so I missed my apex by 8 ft. to nail this guy. Well, that guy turned out to be Jim.
