I want to see who, if anyone, will be able to meet for breakfast at the Central Market at IH-30 and Hulen this Sunday, Feb 13th. Exactly what time is negotiable, I'd like to hear John and Carol's suggestion, since they are travelling from the farthest(furthest?) away.

I'm hoping we can discuss pros and cons of various routes and stops, I have some ideas and notes from a test run, and want other members' input. It's difficult to do this "online," especially since we would like to keep the route as much a surprise as we can, to make it more fun the day of the event.

Who can make it? John & Carol, what time is good for y'all?

I'll have to walk or drive less than a quarter of a mile so I guess I can make it.

10:00 Sunday morning would be fine for us. That allows for a reasonable amount of snooze, the doing of chores (which lately seem to consist of hauling hay bales through increasing quantities of MUD) and the trek north. Unless we hear to the contrary, we'll be browsing the breakfast goodies by 10. Sounds like fun. Looking forward to seeing y'all then.

Great, 10:00 am this Sunday the 13th.

Anyone who wants to help plan the poker run is welcome to attend.

Does anyone have a phone # or email for Manny (Darkness)? I know he's got a new baby and might not be lurking Fchat. He had expressed an interest in helping w/ Poker Run. PM me.

The Poker Run is an annual event put on by the Dallas/Fort Worth FCA chapter every spring. Take a look at the links to past poker runs on the page below.

You're welcome to attend Sunday's breakfast if you'd like to find out more about the event.

And welcome to the forum. :)

Central Market is at Hulen & I-30 which is west of 35W. For us it's about 75 or so miles. Hulen exit is after University Park exit. Central Market is visible from the light where you will turn left off the service road onto Hulen.

Dave, if the weather is nice (ha, ha) we may likely be in the SLK 350 with the top down - if the weather is crappy, look for a slightly worn red 4x4 Chevy pickup! Looking forward to seeing you again and meeting any new folks.

Does anyone have a phone # or email for Manny (Darkness)? Why don't you go back to the original thread regarding the poker run for this year and find him on there and PM off that?? just a thought.

Just wanted to remind all, anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.

So far it will be myself, Will, John and Carol, and Don R. What a motley crew. I'll bring my maps, and notes, and y'all bring some ideas for routes and stops, and prizes... etc.

10am Sunday, Central Market off 30 and Hulen in Fort Worth.

Carol just e-mailed me that she has come across some interesting stuff relating to the care and feeding of poker runs. We'll haul it along. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks for coming out this morning, Will, John & Carol, Don & Carolyn. Like we discussed, lets give some of those areas we talked about a test run, and we'll plan to regroup for breakfast on Sunday, March 13th.
