[We've had a GP of China viewing at a Dim Sum restaurant scheduled for months, but Bruce Ledoux has arranged something a little more . . . intriguing!]

FROM BRUCE LEDOUX, MA CHAPTER PRESIDENT:

For those of you that aren't attending The Maine Event OR if you are returning from the Maine Event, we have a special stop planned for the scheduled viewing of the China Grand Prix.

Lamborghini of Boston has offered to host us from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m. on 10/16/05 at their high tech BMW/Lambo/Super Car tech facility on 7 Centennial Drive in Peabody, MA to watch the final Formula 1 race of the year. Co-Owner and Iconic Ferrari owner Bud Lyons will have FOUR of his classic (and rare) Ferrari's there, freshly shined up by their caretakers Paul Russell & Company, not to mention some hot Bimmers, Lamborghinis and a Carrera GT.

This is a great opportunity to slip in an end of season cruise, watch the GP on a big flat screen TV, see a very cool tech facility, test the drink holders as you eat your lunch in the passenger seat of a hand built Lambo AND view some of the most historic Ferraris in the country - maybe even the world. All for the unbelievably reasonable cost of $0!

Did I mention that the facility can afford us INDOOR parking for up to 25 cars? I didn't think so.

The Lamborghini of Boston people and Bud Lyons are excited to share their toys with us, feed us and generally show us a good time, in return, they only ask us for the following:

    1. We need a 30-40 person head count to amortize the Paul Russell show & shine delivery charge. A low turnout means rain check, if we are lucky.

    2. They need the R.S.V.P.s by Thursday, 10/13/05.

    3. NO ONE is allowed to do any smoky burnouts in the garage or parking lot (that means you, Sanborn) as the Lambo customers might feel left out with their traction controlled cars, experiencing buyer's remorse which would be bad for business . . . wink, wink.

Please RSVP to me directly - [email protected] - so we can get organized and petition for some fun runs in that Carrera GT.

    All the best,

    Bruce G. Ledoux

Great to see someone (Lambo ;) ) Step up to the plate since FoNE has been MIA for some time. On points 2 and 3, you mention some link to a Paul Russell event. Is that on the same day?

C'mon folks ya can't HATE Lamborghini THAT MUCH ! And they are gonna feed you. With the forecast what it is it looks like Sunday will be the first day the Sun will be out in well over a week anyways so why not commit to taking the car for a spin to Peabody to be fed while checking out some fab cars and catching the last race of this relatively dismal year for Ferrari. Have ya got anything better to do ??? :)

    Wow!

Thats amazing, I have never seen a wooden F50 / Boat.

On the way to work today I drove through a few puddles that seemed a mile deep. The F150 made short work of them, but I fear the TR would sink.

I plan on attending tommorow rain or shine. Ill see you guys in the AM.

Well, it DOES say that there is indoor parking for 25 cars so we probably wont have to leave the cars sitting out in the rain

Random question. The top of the email my father and I got says "All for the unbelievably reasonable cost of $0! " However, later on in the email it says
" We need a 30-40 person head count to amortize the Paul Russell show & shine delivery charge." Not that I care but is there a charge to go or not? Just happened to catch my attention and was curious.

One more quick question... Does anyone know if the actual Lambo showroom is already constructed? Last time I was there it looked like it would be a long time before it was done

No, the show & shine charge is being picked up by the dealership - they just wanted to make sure that they're not paying the Paul Russell charge only to have 3 people show up, which is why Bruce wanted a 30-40 headcount. As it stands now, he expects well more than that!

The event is FREE to everyone, whether one is an FCA member or not. But this is just another reason to join the FCA, as the club does a lot to put on Ferrari events in the region! :)

To clarify, we are not on rt.114 at the dealers sales location. We are on Centennial Drive #7 off 128, at the bmw service center

    Dave,

Great Pics! They really turned out well. It was great to meet you and your Father yesterday. Are you guys going to the W. Roxbury Italian show on the 30th?

The organizer sent me an email a while back saying the date was 10/30, but I have heard nothing since. I'll call her today to get an update.
