I'll only go for qualifying on Saturday. I prefer to walk around the track to take pics. Hopefully we see each other at Friday's FCA event.

Is anyone going to Formula 1 race on July 2nd in Indy? It's a 3 day event starting on Friday June 30 -raceday July 2nd. On Friday there is a car show and car cruise and then a dinner. On Saturday, there's qualifying at the track! Then breakfast on Sunday morning just before the Gran Prix! I just got my ticket www.FCA-CIC.org

We're going to the circle event on Friday evening and qualifying on Saturday. Driving home on Sunday (before the race).

Hey, Carla! Frankie and I are also going down there with Daytona Rick. We haven't made our exact time of departure yet. But we do have our Tix. and Hotel Res. Hoping to get a caravan driving down there if we can all co-ordinate something.

BTW....I just looked at you profile picture. Looks like you've added quite a bit to your "Garage Mahal" since the last pix. Looking good!!!!....:)

Whats with the dinner friday night at the circle (Indy)?
Details are a bit scarce, other than $45.
    Worthwhile?
Or are you all just going for the cars?

Worthwhile if you know the folks. I've been there several times before and didn't know anybody (not counting of course Mike E., but he was busy with the event). We'll be at the circle this year, but only to see the cars. There are so many good restaurants nearby, you'd be better off just going to one of those.

I'd say the point of the $ 45 dinner is more, that if you participate with the car, you can eat there while keeping an eye on things, which otherwise you might not be able to.

If you bring your car, make sure to participate in the "parade" leading to the circle. That to me was the coolest thing: Police escort and thundering through Indy downtown: It was so cool to see a redlight intersection approaching fast and the cop on the bike next to you waving at you to speed up. Unreal. :)

Ok can we get a count on who from Chicagoland are planning on going down and when? Care to meet up on Saturday or Sunday?

Ferrari Frank and I are driving down on Saturday morning should be down by the Monument Circle event around 1 - 2 pm. Andreas is going down for Friday and Saturday. Carla have you decided yet? Anyone else? PM me for my cell phone number and I'll have it on all the time. Gee sure wish more people added their names and phone numbers to our contact list.

    Rick,

there is no point in going to the circle on Saturday. The FCA Ferrari event is only there on Friday evening.

On Saturday and Sunday everybody hangs out at the track, so if you want to meet Ferrari folks/see Ferraris you should go to the dedicated Ferrari parking area on the West side of the stadium.

I'll be at the track takings pics. Probably on "photographer's hill" (turn 9).

Well last year they had a concours in the circle on Saturday afternoon and breaking up around 6 pm. I thought that was still going on.

That might still be going on, but I think it wouldn't be Ferrari specific:
