FCA FALL DRIVE Saturday, September 20, 2008 We will be starting at Pete Sanchezs Custom Cars Unlimited !! Coffee, rolls and a tour of his latest projects will be from 9:00 am to 10:30am. Custom Cars Unlimited 340 E. Burlington Avenue La Grange, IL 60625 708-354-7888 At 10:30am, we will proceed to The Autobahn Race Track in Joliet, IL, where we will be guests of Gabriele Vignaroli and Team Stradale. Gabriele will provide us with club parking. http://www.teamstradale.com/ http://www.autobahncountryclub.net/ For those interested in touring, there will be a drivers meeting at 11:45AM , followed by 1 hour of track touring on their south track. If you have ever wanted to drive a race track at a safe speed, this will be your opportunity. http://www.teamstradale.com/south_circuit.pdf For spectators, there are grandstands for viewing both tracks. An Italian lunch is available from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. I'm in. Having just had some work done at Custom Cars (great work) and a driving lesson from Team Stradale, I would not miss the event.

What an awesome event. I've heard great things about Custom Cars Unlimited and I've seen some incredible restoration work they've done on some really special cars. Traveling in a caravan from there to Autobahn (right through my neck of the woods) is really going to be a great drive - I bet I know the route you're going to take and it's going to be a fun one. Followed by a great lunch, seeing what Team Stradale has at the track, and then touring...OMG...what a great event! If anyone is on the fence...I'd sign up NOW! Unfortunately, I'll be in a white flameproof suit working a corner at the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival that weekend. Darn schedule conflicts! Well, at least I'll be in a place where engines are roaring and beautiful cars are being used for what they were made for. The weather was nearly perfect for the Fall drive. Pete and Dino at Custom Cars Unlimited gave us a complete tour of their amazing facility and showed us some of the cars they are working on for their customers. As you can see a wide selection of cars, years and amount of restoration. Very fine work. The drive to Autobahn was fun and, as always, Team Stradale were great hosts. The fresh baked pizza very good and touring the south track is always fun.
