    Here are a few more.

    1. Cleaned up cars
    2. The gang at the FCA Reception
    3. Judging field. (Very nice set up at the golf course).
    4. Judges and my car.
    5. My "best of show" choice.
    6. The Daytona line up

The blue painter's tape worked well for keeping the small chips under control, but when a larger size rock hits, it only holds the paint shards in place.

Our Chicago hard core team is bringing home two awards. Both the same and with >95 score. Those awards allowed us to further compete, if you know what I mean. :D:D:D:D

    Excellent! Party on Garf!

Let's go for that elusive Coppa trophy. I know it doesn't have the panache of a Hooters cup, but hey, it's a start!
    :)

Thanks for keeping us homies au courant.

PS: Ann gets the "patient wife of the millenium" award. What a trooper!

Yes, a bit of a low turn out (~75 cars I think for judging, some others just for show). Many people attended but didn't bring their cars. I had also heard that a car transport was turned back at Canadian customs. Don't know if that was true or if it need some paperwork adjustment before entering Canada. I also suspect that with the economy, gas prices, etc....some just didn't show up.

However, there were fantastic cars there, including an Enzo, Daytonas, an F40, Dinos, etc... Overall, I think there was a very nice variety of cars from new to old, just not as many as last year. It was also very nice to meet with our Canadian brothers, a great bunch of very nice, enthusiastic folks.

Had another great day today with the Pleasure Drive. Again, the rain god blessed our clean cars with soft water in the morning and then dryed us out. I think that is going to be the standard around here.

Oh my, for a national event? That's a real shame.

But then again: Who was the genius of selecting an out of state location and in the middle of one of the hottest months? I would have loved to go there, but the whimpy A/C in my 308 is no match for summer heat in July and a 1,000 mile drive.

Don't know if you're aware of it, but Ed bought a trailer. It's not enclosed though, but Ed does rent it out.

Now.......... a really good customer like YOU Andreas, might be able to work something out with him. I'm not saying this as fact so don't take it as 'Gospel'; it's just a thought.

Anyone else needing a trailer might want to consider this option.

Arrived home today at about 3 pm. All three cars ran perfectly so I guess these things aren’t as fragile as some would lead us to believe.

The day started as all the other days, with rain. Who would have guessed? However, it dried up right away and we had clear driving with cool conditions all the way home. I didn’t need the AC at all. Dave had an interesting conversation with the US Customers Agent. I'll let him tell the story.

I’ll let the others post pictures of the trophies and track session. We had a lot of fun. Even goofed around a bit. In all, I had a good time and it was worth the drive!

Okay, I gave these guys 24 hrs. So here are more from my camera.

250TR (only one thing to say...WOW) You should hear it on the track. If I can upload a short video, I will and post a link.
A few others that include a shot of the hall, Coppa Bella awards for Dave and John. Dave also received an award for the best flat 12 cylinder. Congrats Dave!

The Yellow 348 Challenge was driven to the FCA event 900 miles from the South without AC by Scott.

I believe some of the photos have been 'Photochopped'!

It appears that both Norbert and Mr Buttcrack may have been indulging in alcoholic beverages.......no way would that ever happen! :D

Congrats to all of you guys, sounds like I missed a great trip. Happy to see 2 Coppa's for great cars owned by Dave and John. Seems like I have some work to do get my car in the same league.

I am looking forward to hearing more stories.

I got some great shots and can't wait to get home and show you guys all that I got. Nice pics guys and congrats on the Copas! Andreas you should have seen Norbert flying around the track ;)
