FCA INVITATION: 599 PANAMERICAN 20,000

599 fans, it occurred to me that someone from outside our area might want to attend this event, so here is a copy of a previous post from our region.

Greetings FCA members and Ferrari Enthusiast:

You are invited to attend the world premier of the Ferrari 599 via the Ferrari Panamerican 20,000 to be held on November 6th at the world famous Darlington raceway! http://darlingtonraceway.com
This event is open to FCA members, so it is imperative that I receive notice from you ASAP if you plan on attending this history making premier event.

These are the types of fun events that make FCA membership worthwhile. However, I think all of you know that I am simply a car enthusiast, and that it is all about the good people who just happen to enjoy cars.

That being said, this is a FCA event, and open to FCA members. If you would like to attend this event, please consider joining the FCA. We hope to make your membership worthwhile, fun, and eventful!

For those of you that may be traveling, I suggest staying at Camden in one of the bed and bleakest locations. I scouted these out over the weekend. Also, Columbia is only 77 miles from the race track.

It is important that we arrive in a Ferrari, so if anyone has passenger space, let me know so we can match you up with a guest. If you have a spare Ferrari that needs to be exercised, ask a friend you trust to drive it. That being said, I do not want any members who do not have cars to be left behind. I am simply trying to get the Ferraries out and at the event. Came as you can.

It would be great if your members could arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The day's activities will conclude after the 599 GTB Fiorano has departed, probably no later than 3:00 PM.


We will have personalized access passes for each club member, so if you could please forward a list of your members who will participate, our producers will assure they are registered. (Name, city, club affiliation – thank you.)


That pass will give your members access to all of the things our Case IH guests will be enjoying: the agribusiness workshops if any of your members wish to join in, lunch, hot laps around the track with a car and driver from either the Andretti or Petty racing schools, and more.


We will have trophies and awards for your members. Perhaps each of the club Presidents could tell us what the trophy(ies) would represent and how the winners will be judged (and who you prefer do the judging). Best car? Longest distance driven to the event? ( – thank you David Scott.) We will prepare the trophies for you and there is no reason all locations need to be judged on the same attributes – it's your call.


We will do a complete group class picture around the Fiorano(s) after they arrive and hope your members will join in. We will also be able to do a photo of club members only. In both cases, we will provide you with the digital image of that shot as well as any other cameos which our photographers pick up on location which may be of interest to you. END OF EXCERPT

As you can see, this should be a tremendous event, not to pass this way again anytime soon. Seize the opportunity, and join us in making history.
