THE FCA CHAPTER in KANSAS CITY recently finalized our calender for 2005 and it includes over 25 events for the year....

Our biggest event will be a 3 day tour to Eureka Springs, Arkansas for the Eureka Jazz fest on September 16th, 17th and 18th.

Room space is limited, so let us know early if you want to attend!

We would love to make this an annual event for Ferrari owners in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Tennesse....

(Roland Linder, you gotta come to this, incredible roads!)

Thanks Chris, let me see how I can stick this one on my calendar. It would cool to bring John's F40 too and Peter's 430.
    I'll get back to you.
Merry Christmas to you, Dana and the girls

Roland, how cool would it be to see how many F40's we could get on this tour? Maybe we could invite a few friends from Forza and my good friend Peter from Toronto.....

This could be really, really cool!

I just remembered we have a friend in Oklahoma that is interested in going with his F40, that makes 4, can we make it 5? This is going to be fun!

I drove those roads last fall on a cruise and they are FANTASTIC!!

If the hotels are sold out we usually stay in Hot Springs and enjoy a morning cruise up to Eureka Springs. Just a thought if hotel space becomes a problem.

    See ya there :):)

Bill, you have posed an interesting idea, I am going to be in Eureka on the 15th 16th of this month, we may try to do a Hot Springs run and see if it is a "comfortable" cruise.

We are considering having the event start on a Thursday evening with a reception, then Friday a day trip to Hot Springs, spend the night at one of the great old hotels then head back to Eureka on Saturday for Jazz fest.....

Do people get tired of driving Ferrari's (and an occasional Viper) on the best most scenic roads in the US?

    We will see, thoughts anyone?

I just returned from 4 days of "road work" on the Jazz Tour, I have to tell you it is going to be fantastic!

As many of you know, Ferrari's have been a passion of mine for a long time, I rarely miss Concourso Italiano or Cavallino......... They are great events.

This last year, after many gracious invitations from John and Franco, I was able to attend Ferrari French Quarter Classic and I truly think it is the funniest event in the US right now for those individuals that want to actually DRIVE a Ferrari as it was meant to be driven... We could certainly never compete with this great event, nor do we want to!

However, in the same vain as Ferrari French Quarter Classic, I want to share one of the best kept secrets in performance car community.... Northwest Arkansas, in this case, Eureka Springs www.eurekasprings.com.

The roads around Eureka Springs Arkansas have been listed in Road and Track as having 2 of the 10 BEST drives anywhere in North America.

I was fortunate enough to spend part of my youth growing up in this area and I know theses roads better than most... trust me, you have never expierenced roads like these anywhere in the US.

On September 15th, 2005 we are going to have an invitational Ferrari event that will start on Thursday afternoon with a reception at the Crescent Hotel www.crescent-hotel.com , our host hotel. This hotel was built in 1886 and is truly a castle in the Ozark Mountains.

On Friday morning, September 16th, we will leave out around 9AM for a 2 hour drive on some of the most breathtaking and challenging roads you will ever experience. These roads are smooth, wide with just the right combination of straights and EXTREMELY tight curve sections.

Friday we will end the first leg of our drive at a local winery and restaurant, after lunch we will continue our tour by taking a high altitude tour back to Eureka Springs and the Crescent.

Friday night we will relax, as in no suits, no ties, just a casual dinner at the Crescent....

Saturday morning, September 17th we will get up and take a short tour to War Eagle Mill www.wareaglemill.com for breakfast on the top floor of this 1800's grist mill. After breakfast we will return to Eureka Springs' downtown area. We have reserved parking for your Ferrari so that you can enjoy the many shops and restaurants in this historic city.

Saturday night we will be taken by horse drawn carriage from the hotel to the local train station to have dinner in a Pullman dining car as we move through the mountains. www.esnarailway.com Saturday evening we will enjoy the many Jazz bands that will invade the city!

Sunday morning, September 18th, we will leave again around 9am for a 30 minute cruise to Pea Ridge Military Park for an interesting and historic view of the most important Civil War battlefield west of the Mississippi.

By noon on Sunday, you will be free to start your journey back home.

Cavallino, Concourso and the Ferrari French Quarter Classics are the best Ferrari events in North America right now, and given the opportunity I would not miss any of those events, but for those individuals that truly want to drive their Ferrari the way it was meant to be driven, you will not want to be anywhere but in Eureka Springs on September 15th, 2005!

We are limiting attendance to 30 cars, for more information or consideration please email me, [email protected].

We have reserved space for Franco, John and Rob out of respect for the all of the hard work they have given to the Ferrari community, we hope to hear from the rest of the tifosi soon!
