Good day. If you haven’t voted yet in the FCA-MAR regional elections, please take some time and do so. You should have received an email and link to do so. I am running for Regional Director and think the region needs to be re-energized and new excitement added to the calendar of events so more people can participate in a broader spectrum of activities.

I have been a member of the FCA-MAR for over (20) years and participated in Ferrari Club activities for almost (30) years. I was the MAR Regional Director from 2003 – 2006 and an Assistant Regional Director in different capacities for many years before 2003. I was heavily involved in (4) National Events in 1987, 1991, 1997 and 2006 and also did many track events at Summit Point and multiple tracks at that location.

I have been a part of FCA for a very long time and have seen things change for the good at the National level. When I was the RD before, my core belief then and now, is the RD needs to be the motivator, the cheerleader, the inspirational voice of the history and future of the Ferrari, not walking in front of everyone, but alongside, in this fun adventure and always remembering this is only a car club.

My main goals are to reward the members in Southern Virginia and West Virginia with their own Chapters. Our social media presence needs to be greater and more robust for our current members and to draw in new members as well as getting back members that have left the club. I also think it is important to have regional quarterly meetings that all members can access through the internet to make their opinions known and to bring new ideas to the table.

Also from an overall personal view, inspire ownership, operation, restoration and preservation of Ferraris, serve as source of technical and historical data and encourage camaraderie through new and more diverse events.

Please vote and volunteer to help no matter who the Regional Director is.

Dave, you were one of the best RDs and forgot to mention you organized the first event to raise money for charity. You also worked with the Maryland MVA to provide FCA-MAR license plates.

You also managed to get me to host the Linstead, Annapolis Yacht Club and Gibson Island events. You and your team organized a lot of track events and events that included a lot of driving. The costs for all those events were quite reasonable.

You also played Santa at the annual Xmas party.

I think you would certainly draw in new and former members.

I'd be willing to help plan an optional overnight winery tour to southern Maryland after you're elected.

Thanks for agreeing to run for RD. Good luck buddy.
