Anyone going to the FCA Christmas Party this Saturday, Dec 9th? bst1 and I are going. Does anyone want to meet up afterwards?
I will be going but also have my work party that night. This will be my first holiday party with the FCA. Will people be bringing their cars? The weather looks like it should be nice. Curtis
The FCA-MAR web site makes no mention of the party under the yearly event calendar. I am sure it comes out in the news letter, but why have a website and not update???? Robert
Dust??? A can of Pledge couldn't remove it!!!!!!!!!!!! Jb says CHANGES are a comin!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have liked everyone I have met at the Club events. I wanted to go to this but the last club event sort of soured me on trying to participate. It was announced that it was a limited attendance event that required payment in advance. The flyer also announced that your cancelled check was your admission ticket. I sent my check in in what I thought was plenty of time but it never went through the Bank so it was never cancelled. I emailed the organizers without any sort of quick response and even asked on this site. The organizers did respond to my email but 7pm on Saturday night before the event. Crummy part of that is that I had just left the office and did not get it. I can really understand that the website is not updated. People that own Ferraris tend to be pretty busy and any club is all volunteer. I sure don't have the dedication to do this. But our Ducati Club has a great site at www.mad-ducati.com and a listserve to keep everybody aware of what is going on at $20.00 per year. If that is too much effort they could post here. Or maybe once in a while they could have a meeting where members were just allowed to attend.
Rich - I feel your pain!!! That is one reason why I did NOT renew my membership this year. The new board for the Mid Atl region will be announced at the party Saturday night. A member or 2 that frequents here will be part of the NEW board and have assured us there will be positive changes. I believe in the new people and hope for a good 2007 for the club. There should be alot of nice, new events for the upcoming year...
Cyndi, We might be able to make an "after party", is there one? We wont be at the main deal though as our company party is the night before and we'll have out of town employees to share time with on Saturday. DMAX
If Matt's coming, I'm there! I'll bring the Scotch and cigars for us. No slight to bst and 4recat buds intended as you dudes already know (and yes, I will flush I think)! Tony
I will be there as usual. I heard the number was up to 110 people - wow - I plan on attending the parade of lights show afterward - of course I like to hang in the bar a bit to catch up with people. The lights show is from 6 - 8- if you don't want to drive down town I called the eastport yacht club and there is a shuttle from the Naval academy stadium that you can catch to bring you in town. There will probably be a $5 or $10 fee to park. Downtown will be a zoo probably. Flag me down on Sat and we can talk about it. Barbara
After the FCA party we will host a party at our house at 6pm. If you would like to attend PM me. Cyndi
Looking forward to seeing the "middle-finger-crowd"...we'll take a cigars and photo break...Unfortunately, we have another party to attend after the event and will miss the "Real Party" in Ellicott City :-(
24 Ferrari's at a December party in MD is pretty good! There were 5 at the after party, and a good time was had by all!!!!
Thanks Barry and Cyndi for a great time. Your garage sets a new level and the 360 was gorgeous! I'd be posting pictures but regretably, we forgot to take some. Sorry.
