Two Day Track Event, Monticello Motor Club
    Thu-Fri, Aug 20–21

NEW TRACK EVENT FOR NOVICE AND ADVANCED ALIKE!
We’re hosting a 2-day track event at the beautiful Monticello Motor Club (MMC), just
west of Danbury CT/Newburgh, NY – about 90 minutes from Stamford, just over 2
hours from Hartford and less than 4 hours from Boston.

Special introduction program for novices, with 1:1 instructors and detailed guidance! Have you ever
thought about learning how to drive on a race track? Or considered bringing out your vintage or classic car?
We will have four different run groups, with drivers assigned according to experience and vehicle
specifications. Space will be limited, to ensure hours of track time in small groups. You may drive
whatever marque vehicle you’d like (not limited to Ferraris).

MMC was built to be one of the premier private motor tracks in the world. We’ll run the North, South and
the 4.1 mile full course, among the longest, safest, most challenging tracks in the East, with a total of 22 turns,
including hairpins, increasing and decreasing radius corners, laid out over thrilling elevation changes. If
you’ve never been, this will be a rare opportunity to try out this exclusive track.

This event has been made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Ferrari of New England, our
Presenting Sponsor. Ferrari of New England will also have trackside support available, and will also be
performing both pre-event tech inspections and final grid inspections at the track. For more information on
service, contact Steve Oldford ([email protected]) or Mike Shalhoub ([email protected]), at
    (781) 769-6979. For sales or other inquiries, contact Dennis Dotolo, General Manager, at (781) 619-6955.

    :) Challenging new, exclusive track
:) Hours of track time, at a great price
    :) Expert instructors available
:) Now available: Rentals! Challenge Stradale, Corvette ZR1, Solstice race cars
:) Transport of your car to and from the track and on-site technical support available
:) Get to hang out with a bunch of great, fellow enthusiasts!

Please return the registration form by August 1st for the Early Registration Discount. Also, courtesy of Ferrari of New England, our group dinner on Thursday evening will be free for the first 40 registered drivers; after that, dinner will be $70. So don’t delay, two reasons to register today!

Lunch at the track will be provided courtesy of Ferrari Maserati of Central New Jersey, also sponsoring the event.
FoCNJ, a partnership between the Penske Automotive Group and Thomas Heffernan, former CFO of Ferrari North
America, is the first and only authorized Ferrari and Maserati franchise in New Jersey, with a newly constructed, state-
of-the-art facility. In Edison, FoCNJ can also provide all necessary tech inspections.

    Any questions? Let me know!

    Thanks,

    BTW, breaking news....

    FULL TRACK:
Update: the second day of our 2 day track event at Monticello next week will now be spent on the Full, 4.1 mile course (instead of just in the afternoon, as previously set-up). Now, at the same price, you get the full Monticello experience, some 22 turns and big elevation changes, with some very fast straights too.

    RACE CAR RENTAL:
Also, race cars are available for rental for this event. Monticello acquired the fleet of Pontiac Solstice race cars from the Speed TV series. They also have available a new Corvette ZR1 and a Ferrari Challenge Stradale for rental. For more details, contact Bruce Ledoux ([email protected]).

    INSURANCE COVERAGE AVAILABLE:
If you're worried about damage to your car: NOTE that some street insurance policies will indeed cover damage done to your car on the track, though it all depends on your individual policy and/or the state in which your street car is registered (while some owners have been successful in making claims in the past, particularly MA-registered owners, the trend is to exclude even driver's education events like this one). So check your policy to see if you're covered -- you should absolutely not rely on this note! And if you want to buy coverage for DE events, coverage is now available through Lockton Affinity:
    https://hpdeins.locktonaffinity.com/Coverage.aspx?pID=1497

    DINNER AND LUNCH INCLUDED:
Ferrari of New England, our presenting sponsor, is also kindly picking up the gala Thursday night dinner (nice Italian restaurant in Middletown) for all registered drivers, so register now while the offer is still open. And additional sponsor Ferrari of Central New Jersey is picking up lunch for everyone on Friday too. Register today!

See here for more details: http://tinyurl.com/FCA-Monticello2009 and the registration form is here: http://tinyurl.com/FCA-MonticelloForm

sounds like amazing event but unfortunately i cant make it. going to try it on sept 18 with pda though.

ive watched video of track but are there any notes/instructions regarding the line, braking and shift points, etc. i read someones post last yr about the nj track and it was very helpful and monticello looks to be about twice as complex

    thanks
