    Welcome all FCA members and selected friends to the 2008 FCA Fall Outing.

    The dates are October 17-18-19 and includes 2 full days of track time at Roebling Road.

    Hotel information will be posted shortly along with registration forms.

    I am looking forward to hearing more on the event, I am not interested in tracking my car, what other events will be going on there?

    Savannah is a very nice historic city with lots of golf, antiques, beaches, GREAT FOOD, and Ghosts!

    The event is mainly centered around track time and driver instruction. We have a variety of expert drivers, but welcome beginners too. On average there are 4-5 instructors present.

    If you are not interested in track time, there is a non-drivers package available.

    We have wanted to visit Savanna since we moved here to Jacksonville, looks like a great opportunity.
    What kind of track instruction is it, good for both me and the wife? and is it an additional cost?

    Do you have any info on the event available yet for both the track and non track guests?

    I am trying to pull together the information and costs now. Unfortunately Savannah has become very popular that time of year and the hotels are getting booked up so fast that they will not negotiate room rates any longer. In the last 4 years we have seen rates go from 150/night up to 205/night!

    As for the driving, we welcome new drivers. We have on average 4 to 5 expert instructors that volunteer their time to help people. There is a dedicated group that runs 4-5 times/day for beginners.

    The host Hotel will be the Mulberry Inn and the restaurants are getting set for us also. Full information packets and registration forms will be going out via email ( and posted here) in a few days.

    Thanks Charles for all your hard work on this event. The Mulberry reservations are up and running as I just made mine. This is a great event with a lot of track time. We always have a great time in Savannah, I guess that is why we keep coming back! :)

    Webb Bland here, just wanted to let everyone know that I shot a good bit of track this past weekend- 1,700 photos total, 900 on the track- but I will not be able to process them all until early November. So, it'll be a little bit of a wait before the full series goes online, but when it does, I'll start a new thread and post everything in this sub-forum.

    My apologies on the long delay; shooting cars up until then- no time to work on the photos. :(

    I will post a few later this week for you all though.
