there's an addition to the FCA-Vic calendar. It's a drive day and BBQ in Healesville. The calendar for the year is here... http://www.fcavic.com.au/members/calendar.html
ok, just to help get this thread WAY O/T .... ultralights, what can someone tell me about them ? I'm a fly boy from the raaf days but had head stuck in computers and Ferraris for too long and need a fix in the air any recommendations and indicative costs ??
Sorry, no can do. I'll be taking myself for a walk through the Botanical Gardens. Then I'm treating myself to a swish dinner, and then on to the Grand Hyatt for a romantic night for one.
too easy, desperate guys like you are the best. Oh and I changed my name to reflect the new situation.
You nearly killed yourself in a car and now you want to try Ultralight "aircraft"? Are you MAD? Oh hang on a minute.............never mind
well I've done sky diving, hang gliding and scuba diving so why not ultralights ..... they do have a rep for kissing the ground then again I know some people who have spun their car at PI thinking because they have a 360 they should see if it can do one and Roman, I was an avionics techo in the raaf, I didn't like the idea of being an officer to become a pilot (dumb move in hindsight )
gee thanks mate, Phil was putting the boot in when I was driving the QV in the wet amd now the colour comes back to haunt me just to deflect some of the bagging, PP has some memories of a spiralling Boxer
Ok, I'll start you off again. You're a raving shirt lifter who loves himself a little too much.. someone elses turn for the next bit.........
Cool! A mate's dad was a RAAF pilot. He was in the last Roulette team to fly the Macchis (remember them, with that garish white/orange livery?) in the late 70s I think. Now he's an airline captain flying 747-400s, and flies P51s in his spare time. He actually joined the RAAF as a mechanic (NCO), and applied for pilot's course. He got in and graduated second in his class. The guy who graduated first also became a Roulette. I wanted to be a pilot, but itt became very clear that my fear of heights and flying would be a slight impediment.
