as Roman said below 80k.issue is 2+2 many of those cars are ex UK cars,rust ect.IMO go for a Dino 308.

Thanks RMV and Rob,this was a one owner bought in Melbourne car which had engine rebuild a few years before being sold(don't know why).4 headlight car at Brooklands was an import from Italy I think(aren't they all!)by someone who worked there for a while.He brought it back and converted it to RHD by shifting steering wheel(don't know details)but brake and clutch pedals were shifted across but original mechanicals were left standard with shafts running across underneath floor pan and connecting to pedals.Apparently this was done as he planned to go back to Italy oneday so he could convert it back to LHD.
330 single headlight car was a bit rugged underneath but I don't know history.
P.S. I am still looking for a 308GTB in 60K range but I would like to see a change in weather patterns first.Next 3 months will be interesting.

No chance Rob. A$80-90K is the money now for driver RHD 330, $60-70K will only get you a restoration project. No change from $100K to restore one.

They are surprisingly quick cars and the handling is more effective than the crude rear suspension would have you thinking, but the brakes and steering are definitely "vintage"!

 

maybe in Sydney,Minogue just sold his GTB 308 steel body,dr sump for 55k.

Interesting. It was quite an oddball car as you say.

I would be inclined to say that it was cheap; but if it needed body and mechanical work, maybe it wasn't at all.

 

not the car to chuck money at in the body/inside.For me chuck the money at the smokey motor and go racing/rally.

Is there really much price diff between single headlight and twin now,once it would have been 20k plus, but so few of these cars are offered now that the opportunity to buy one is the main factor rather than price to a certain amount.
On 308 I am after a car that can be driven monthly,probably had 2-3 owners with 40-60klms,more a car for low key rallies and weekend touring in NE of vict,preferably first time buyer colour.Blue one at FF's was good but prefer carby model,beggars can't be choosers though.I probably have got Buckleys
,but word of mouth seems the best way to pick up a sound car so I would be interested if anyone hears of anything.

Sorry mate, not gonna happen. These cars are 20-30yrs old.
If will have had more owners then PAP has had hot dinners and if it shows 40-60k km's it's been clocked.

If you can find a genuine car matching that description it will be in a much higher price bracket.
