The South Texas Chapter & the Hill Country Chapter made a visit to the new road course in San Marcos called H2R. There isn't much out there yet except for the actual track but it looks like it's going to be a really cool place for "street legal" cars. Bo said that the decibel limit is 85db's at the fence line. They said that they will be testing cars that sound too loud so if you have aftermarket exhaust it might be a no-go. I didn't drive or ride on the track but everyone else seemed to enjoy the layout.

I didn't get any good pics of the cars running on the track but here are some pics of the cars in the parking lot.

Awesome pictures! That track looks like it is pretty neat!

The lowered F-350 is pretty mean looking. It looks like it has a lot of custom work done to it. From the looks of the rear door handles, are the rear doors suicide?

It looks like the AUS and SA crowds joined together for this one. That's a big turnout!

Yeah but a lot of the SA guys chickened out and didn't bring their Ferraris. :)

    Mike,

You forgot to remind me of this! Dang it! I would have brought out one of the 928's and my helmet and harnesses! Looks like a few Pcar fans were out there. Love the two 456's. I think I have seen the blue one before. Lives here in Austin right? I have not ever seen the Ingrid colored one though. Also liked that burgundy 360! NICE!

Sorry James. It's been a very busy and frustrating week... I just forgot.

Yes, the blue 456 is the same one that was at the BCCC that one day. The Grigio Ingrid 456 is also a local car and it's also a daily driver. :) The burgundy 360 is from San Antonio. It has the rare sunroof option.

From the posts on this board early on in the project, I was glad as an observer to see the response from the Ferrari crowd.

Hope I didn't lead ya'll around too slow the first couple sessions. ;)

No worries there Chris! Hope your upcoming week is much better! I'll make it out there AND I'll make it out to a local F-club event eventually too. Cool about the GI 456...what nice looking cars they are! Like the 612 they are total class and understatement. Just love'em! Someday I'll have one in the garage... Probably get that 400 first though...unless I win the lottery! ;)

    Best,
    James

Nope, not at all. It's a 50mm 1.8 lens. With the aperture set at 1.8 it has that affect.

The 50mm 1.8 is a peach! I have one too and love it!
